    • Man’s gotta feed his family

    • Yeah mate …. and the only full price item on that receipt ;)

That's not much, at least it's not coke.

  • How did you get the telstra prepaid sim with your other items? I was told I had to get it from customers service which is the other side (they old give out a piece of paper rather than the SIM on the shelf).

I got free from jb in December

Well, thanks for coming here and commenting champ.
I believe you refer to this JB deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/351188
Just got curious and looked up the upvotes on that deal. None of the 284 upvotes were yours !
Saying 'Thanks' in a comment or pressing the light green + and making it dark green is a way of appreciating the OzB community (which you are a part of).
So, next time, use that + vote, if you benefitted from the deal :)

I signed onto belong $40 plan… That was just for data. Had to pay extra $5 for unlimited phone calls…. Is this how it is setup?

    • +1

Yes, data is included, calls are add-on

    • Why don't you sign up $10 or $25 plan? So you get some credits left to pay something else

  • I better not say what I paid but atm you get 60 gb data.

    • Shush, don't rock the boat, at least til the end of this month

  • not such a great deal when I'm used to getting them for free.
However I only have one left so might pick one up for $20.

    • care to share how you are used to getting them for free ?

  • I've got a 1000 point offer for $40 spend, which i never bothered to activate because there's nothing worth spending $40 for, until now

    • Funny you mention that, I used a 2000 points offer for $60 spend, as the receipt shows !

    • 1000 points = $5.

      • $40 for 120GB is worth spending + i get bonus $5 to spend later

        • I think the offer ends on 31/3 so you’d need to activate both before then.

        • @wxyz234: yep that's my intention

Buyer beware. make sure you cancel before the one month is up if you do not want to continue.

I no longer need my Belong service

To cancel your Belong mobile service, please create a Support Request by clicking on the button below and we'll cancel your service within 24 hours. If you want to cancel your service before your next invoice date you’ll need to let us know at least 1 business day before invoice date to process your request and avoid further charges

    Cancelling also means:
You'll lose your remaining data including your banked data.
Your Belong SIM will no longer work.
You won’t receive a refund for any money you’ve already paid.
    You'll lose your mobile number.

You’ll continue to be charged your monthly payment amount until you cancel your service.

    • So what if I want to port my number out after one month? Will it be cancelled automatically after the number ported out?

      • +1

yes. porting out cancels auto, no need to call them.

        • thanks mate!

    This deal is back.

    • I'll unexpire, but ideally should be posted as a new deal as people are unlikely to look this far back.

      • +1

Ah, no way to bump :( But its the sort of thing people search on.
It got a mention deep in the new Coles specials post.

    • Is double data promotion still applicable (for 30GB instead of 15GB)

    • Been Broadway coles, looks like still full price now. May I ask which coles you get half price for belong sim?

      • +1

All of them. It is in the catalogue.
"looks like"? Did you scan it?

        • Thanks. Sir. You are right. The price tag still says 40. But when you scan it. It is 20.

  • I've gotta say I moved 2 phones to belong initially and another 2 recently for family and have had 0 problems. I also saw the warnings from others before I tried them and have been pleasantly surprised and would recommend. Other friends report the same.

I'm also in regional Aus with reception on par with both Optus and telstra whom I've used for decades.

    Go for it.
