alot of talk from the rep but in the end wasted alot of peoples time

    • +2

annoying as it is, it just goes to show that a lot of people really cant read

  • +1

    Price still unchanged!

    • same here, I have managed to reload the storage page 3 times and I can't pick any difference from the page I loaded in another tab at 11.45pm.

Enough for me for now, time to go.

  • well i managed to put my order through bpay…Though i'm not sure if that ensures me getting a laptop xD Its a lot better than COTD, at least it goes through slowly and they have more than 100units.

    • I got my order through and paid by Bpay too. Fingers crossed.

  • fail

  • +1

^—— everyone above, if ur so frustrated….why not just give up and boycott this sale. show how upset you are!

(p.s. everyone else, wait for them to leave so the site will finally load and refresh, kekekeke)

    • +2

the problem is the same prices rather than it's down~~

  • miss CentreCom~~

  • +1

Richmond: ppl up front could probably do some trade with those at the back of the line. Charge a small markup to go to bed early…..

  • +3

    This thread is so funny

  • when are the prices going to change to sale prices?

  • Can't find the 4gb Lexar flashdrives for $1. Link anyone?

    • I only saw the Sandisk 4GB for $4 listed with a "Boxing Day Sale" description. They might've changed it last minute??

      • +2

I've just left the Essendon store and the 4GB USB drives are Toshiba. I cannot be bothered searching the website myself but hopefully that might be a useful piece of knowledge for your searching.

  • +1

how can you see anything online!!

  • +2

I +ve this deal because I read through the comments and I've noticed the excellent customer support and communication the rep has put in. That means a lot more than a good deal.

    • +3

he/she needs to do that to get more people interested :)

      • Yep words are nothing if you can't back it up with action.

    • +2

      The bargain is EVERYTHING!

  • that's what this website is about, customer support when you can't actually get the bargain advertised!

  • Can't believe there are only 3 -ve votes??

    • why is that?

      • +3

Ahh maybe HDD prices have not changed for 45 mins after the sale started??

        • -2

have you had non interupted access to the site yet? i havent

I just dont see why your so impatient and wondering why negs arent being posted, you were told internet orders werent a priority. The site is clearly down, wait til its up and functioning, the have your gripe

        • -4

Yes i have had uninterrupted access for 20+ mins now, and it appears others have been too.

    • it will come

    • i have got the answer! the -ves would have been 4 if i hadn't revoked mine by mistake! LOL
I appreciate the fact that the MLN guy spent hours in this forum trying to reply to all of us, let's see if he appreciates the THOUSANDS of hours spent by the ozbargainers trying to follow the thread, refresh/access his site and wait at the line in front of the shops to finally just find unchanged prices!

    • can you upload a screenshot of the "uninterrupted" site?

  • +1

The $1 flash drive isnt on the website, the prices are the non discounted ones…

  • -2

It seems for advertising rather than a bargain!!!

  • +2

Wow i can see……… that 1.5tb is still 100+ bucks

  • yeh wondering when the prices will change, dont wanna go negging it tho.

  • Why do people want the $1 from the online store anyway? The rep already posted the postage rates, its not going to be a great online deal.

  • +ve from me…got my order through (Telstra mobile broadband modem)

  • +17

Website is fail and their prices on Netbooks are crap.

My ass it can handle 20,000 sessions….

    • I can't stop laughing, you made my night, ROFL.

      • -1

I'm still laughing, that's the best comment I ever read in OzBargain.
Special merry xmas to u pal :D

      • agreed

    • +11

must be getting late, i read it as my ass can handle 20000 sessions….

    • I didn't think so either, that is alot of sessions. x15 the number on Ozbargain

    • +10

My ass it can handle 20,000 sessions….

You left out a comma dude…should read:

My ass, it can handle 20,000 sessions…. :p

      • stew lol

      • Meh you get that at almost 1am in the morning after a few drinks :P

        • +2

Getting 20k sessions after a few drinks at 1am could be construed by some as gettin' lucky! :p

        • +2

          or "some ass gettin' lucky"…

        • "1am in the morning"? Is that opposed to 1am in the afternoon or 1am in the evening?

  • disappointingly give up…

  • ok, so how we can find the usb ? harddisk ?

  • +2

Richmond: MLN is right next door to "passionfruit: the sensuality shop" geeks +MLN + crotchless knickers is same line of sight = terrifying!

    • lol, its 14 degrees here and dropping, beta hold your crotch tightly

  • +1

Site doesn't work even an hour later

  • +4

Samsung G3 1.5TB is showing $109, not the advertised $64!

  • wheres the rep gone now?

    • +3

i think he has just completed successfully his mission ;)

      • +3

Probably handing out coffees & kit-kats on the line outside! :p

      • yup ozbargainers r too gullible, catch of the day got away with it many times before it finally got semi banned lol!

    • +2

he is stuck trying to check to see if the prices have changed

  • +4

I heard they were supposed to supply $1 flash drives to wikileaks but under pressure from the US government pulled the deal and tried to charge $4.

4Chan are now bringing the site down in protest

    • mln will pay how dare they display such negative attitude to the true spiritual leader of the internet, all mighty wikileaks.

i cbf anymore why am i doing this shit at 1am?

      • give us the back insert claps give us the ball back

        yeah im off

  • -3

    forced to neg :(

    • Gun to your head??? :o

    • your neg does not mean crap to the 200+ ppl waiting here lmao, but yeah ppl are getting edgy now

  • +4

    I've just bought
    Samsung Story Station 1.5TB USB2.0 $64.00
    Iomega Prestige Portable 500GB 2.5" USB2.0 $48.00
    from http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/sales/endofyearsale.html
$8.25 delivery fee for Vic metro.

  • How do I revoke my positive vote? I want to neg this deal since USB prices haven't been updated and the 1.5TB HDD is still $100+. Argh!!

    • +1

On the deal heading, right hand side, it says votes. Find yourself and click whatever you want to change ur vote.

  • +2

after all the ads in advance, none of the deals available online, prices are wrong, site's down most of the time, and all the comments by the rep to pump up hope, its now a debacle!

  • +15

Just in case this helps anyone (so you don't have to trawl through all the other pages). Prices are as I see them; they obviously need to fix some. Also, no sign of that $1 flashdrive so far.

    • Some of these prices are incorrect. For example, the Samsung G3 1TB is $49 (I bought one just before, and you can check the website).

This list was probably compiled before they finished changing all the prices, so just be aware these aren't 100% accurate.

  • prices haven't changeddddd

  • How many clicks does it take to get MLN to change its prices?

  • +2

    Guys
I have told you it can happen,
jsut calm down, no need for pitchforks and torches yet
there are heaps of availavle products
still haev 23 hours to go, you will get a shot at buying,
    the website will update.

    • "the website will update"

      When??

        • +2

"no website in Aus can handle this type of traffic"
…don't be so sure! Serious sites can handle way more than that!

        • +3

the website is fine now, updating prices has nothing to do with the traffic.

I have experience in webdesign and I can tell you updating prices should take less than 5 min to do!!!!

        • +1

In other words, go to bed people.

        • Prices not changing at midnight is inexcusable when you've pumped everyone up for 72 hours before the sale.

How hard can it be to update your prices at 12 midnight?

        • Obviously very hard,
even the ozbargain website went down for a bit,
our sitedid not just have the ozbargain community on it, it had alot more other people as well.
I am not aware of how changes can be made to a site, when it is down, down means its not working its not accepting changes.
          inexcusable?
Not possible when a website is down.
I didnt pump you? I told you about a deal, which was available for everyone to benefit from.
          Sorry for answering your questions

Clearly everyone seems to know how the MLN website operates and functions better than the staff here and they also know more than what I know about our website.

    • 22:48 to go… not 23! :)

  • +7

When the rep was saying: "Priority will be given to in store customers", I was wondering how they were going to do that. Now I know, by delaying the price changes on the website.

  • +2

Thank goodness the humour from the Ozb community helps to make up for times like these ;-)

  • +2

This thread is rapidly shaping up as just as humorous as either the Dolphin Knife or Rogers Gelaskins threads; those cost me some sleep in fits of laughter…I've learned my lesson! :p

My advice, go to bed guys, get up in the morning & give it a go…as the rep has said, they have stock in the tens of thousands, most people should do fine! Besides, if you don't get what you want this sale, que sera, sera…there's always gonna be another somewhere else! ;)

Goodnight folks, hope it works out for you! :)

    • yes
please some of you go to bed :)
I promise there will be plenty to go around,
if something does sell out, an equivelant will be offered, so dont stress too much.

      • -2

why don't you just sing us a " goodnight" song? just to cover your @ss?
we are all fine and cool, i think you are the only one who starts stressing!!!

        • +2

          GregFiona
seriously no need to be so negative and rude,
Im not covering anything, telling you how it is.

  • +4

for those who want HDD, why not check http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/sales/endofyearsale.html
IOMEGA 500GB only $48 ($1 cheaper than MLN)
    Samsung 3.5" 1.5TB only $64 ($1 cheaper than MLN)

    • Because centrecom is closed till the 5th of January so by the time you receive your order prices for the advertised products would have become the normal retail price :D

  • The line at the Heidelberg store was moving at snail pace, maybe 3 minutes per customer, so there should be plenty left for online sales.

They should have made it sales online available for pickup at a later date…

  • MLN,
I know these things can happen but this was certainly a negative withdrawal from my Goodwill account for MLN !

After staying awake for 4 hours ,, I am still waiting,,
Anyway will try again later tomorrow > Hope you fix it by then.
Take care guys, have a safe holiday season,
    Good night :-)
    try again tomorrow.,

  • far out! crazy lines outside mln at both west melbourne and richmond stores. drove back home =(

    • Me too, waited for 20 minutes and gave up. Looked another 2 hours before my turn.

  • "for those who want HDD, why not check http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/sales/endofyearsale.html…
….because the shipping for NSW residents is much more expensive..

    • +2

Guys I realise some companies are trying to feed on our offers,
we do not have 200 drives available at a stunt price.
Any computer business that is decent enough in size, can sell a couple of hundred drives below a competitors price so they can discredit their competition.
      We have thousands available,
this is why our deals are available in store as well as online, and our competitors may list a few units for sale at a price $1-2 less than us to discredit our sales. this is why it is not available instore for them, but rather just online as there is no stock.
Please consider why its being offered right now, at the same time as our genuine sale is being conducted.
      Credit card fees
      and shipping costs

Its very easy to sell a hard drive $2 less than someone else but then charge $10 more for postage.

      • +4

With all due respect, please do not forget that time is money, waiting/spending hours just to refresh your site/prices etc actually costs more than 10 $(without even considering that it's boxing day's wasted time)
