This makes no sense. But as price is right, sure someone will buy it anyway.

Useful for Chromecasts and Compute Sticks if you can't plug them directly into your screen.

      • This 100%. Also useful for other HDMI connections as it's more flexible than most cables.

        thanks for clarifying.

    • Looks like the same thing that came with my original Chrome Cast which I never needed and lost / threw away .. took it to a friends house and because of the shape of the TV recessed HDMI ports it won't fit and I really wished I had it still. So might suit people who have chnged TVs and lost the extension? Newer Chromecasts were changes so this isn't probably an issue - but I think Amazon fire sticks and some Rockus might be in the same boat?

Be careful if you're using this for 4K/HDR content. Depending on the quality of the signal you'll want a premium cable and I'm guessing a cheapy like this might not be up to the task. Even if the cord you're extending is quality, you'll be bottlenecked by the weakest link.

I had a similar product to this and my PS4 Pro couldn't display a picture when I toggled HDR on. Replaced the cable and all good.

Edit - saw it mentions 1080p max. All good then, it definitely won't work for 4K.

  • I might need a longer one
