It is NOT $10 for every $100 you spend. (thanks for pointing it out, pn09)

http://gifts.myer.com.au/terms-and-conditions.aspx?store=au

  1. Bonus Gift Cards Offer

Buy a Myer Gift Card between the value of $100 and $199 and receive Bonus $10 Myer Gift Card

Buy a Myer Gift Card between the value of $200 and $299 and receive Bonus $20 Myer Gift Card

Buy a Myer Gift Card between the value of $300 and $499 and receive Bonus $30 Myer Gift Card

Buy a Myer Gift Card between the value of $500+ receive Bonus $50 Myer Gift Card

So, if you spent say, $400 … you do NOT receive a $40 gift card. You receive a $30 gift card.

If you spend $600, $700, $800 or $900 … you don't receive $60, $70, $80 or $90 … you only receive $50.

However (thanks to camelgrass) if you were to say, break your gift card purchase into $100, $200, $300 and/or $500 amounts, you should be able to get your $10 for every $100 spent.

Just be careful to split your $400 and $600+ amounts.

mod edit 2: Fixed title.

Nice. This will make the boxing day sales even better value. MYER must really be suffering to come out with this offer again.

  • Sweet. I was surprised when they didn't extend it after the 15th.

    • actually myer macquarie had the sign up since 10 dec saying offer valid till 24 december.

  • oh why…..I just bought $600 worth of stuff yesterday…sigh

  • -1

not exactly 10% off … since its buy $100 get a bonus $10 but i'll let it slide ;-P

    • +1

      Who said 10% off?

    • …well it does say 10% bonus…

      • +1

        There's a distinction between 10% bonus and 10% discount.

        • lol I know the difference, but as far as I know, the original post says 10% bonus, although the mods have clarified it further for us.

  • Means you could get a base model iPad for $569 (assuming there are no further discounts post Xmas).

  • Bought $1000 of giftcards yesterday and didn't get one :(

    • •Offer valid from 5:30pm AEDST Thursday 23rd December 2010

      • :( oh i see
guess ill just have to take it on the chin

        • Don't they have a 30 day return policy? :)

  • Anyone know if this includes Coles Myer cards?

    • +1

Offer does not apply to "Coles Group & Myer Gift Cards" and corporate purchases.

      • Damn :(

  • very nice - thinking of stocking up for a telly purchase - but its getting harder and harder to get myer to price match hmmm..

  • I'm thinking of getting an iPod touch, best price at OfficeWorks $238.

Take it to Myer to price match $238 (that'll be $218 using gift cards)

Then take it to WOW and claim for 110% price guarantee. https://shop.1wow.com.au/productcart/pc/viewContent.asp?idpa… (refund of $24) taking total cost to under $200.

    • +3

Not sure how much WOW is advertising for, but your myer docket will be showing that you bought the iPod for $238. The 10% bonus gift card would not be reflected on the docket itself.

      • WOW price $260.
        ($260-$238) = $22.

But I was wrong there. 10% of $22 equates to $2.20. not worth it.

  • Be aware that this is slightly different as this time it's capped at $50

Thanks pn09 for pointing this out and mod for changing the post :)

      • +1

Mod is not exactly right though.

So, if you spent say, $400 … you do NOT receive a $40 gift card. You receive a $30 gift card.

You could still buy 4x $100 gift cards and you will receive 4x $10 gift cards = $40

        • Thanks for picking that up camel grass :)

  • They have their stocktake catalogue online which starts boxing day. http://catalogues.myer.com.au/portal/

    • The TVs are 10% off over boxing day. Just last month Myer Secret Sale had 15% off all TVs. If you are willing to wait, should sit it out.

  • apologies for some basic questions but how long is the gift voucher generally valid for? Also I presume if I buy a $500 gift voucher I can make multiple purchases of smaller amounts till either the voucher date expires or the $ does, right?

    • Just read the terms and conditions and answered my own questions….

myer gift voucher valid for 2 years from date of issue and can make multiple transactions till the $ or date expires…

  • Do we have to pay for shipping or can be buy in store?

    • I bought mine in store yesterday. Nice, smooth transaction with no additional fees.

  • What's the point of this transaction limit? =____________________________________________________________________________________________________________=

  • I brought Coles gift card and got bonus myers gift card It must apply to all gift cards

  • I bought $1200 worth of gift gards… they are valid for 2 years.
Got $120 worth of bonus gift card for it

  • I bought $600 worth of cards. Probably best to get as much as you'd spend within 6 months as you'd be losing interest over the period. I'm sure Myer will repeat this Christmas 2011.
