Bloody hell! Got this the other day when it was $209.00 and that was an awesome price.
    What an awesome price today!

it arrived the other day and it's really good. Bloody rapt with mine.

I'm just gonna get fat if I buy one for my mum

  • Do you have speed dial issues? Where it will jump to fast speeds on its own?

    • I can't speak for this model but I have the older kenwood KMX98 model and the dial does jump to a higher speed on its own from time to time (especially when I've been using it continuously for about 5-10 mins).
Maybe they've fixed this issue in this model but definitely something that happens with the older model.

      • Ok so apparently the sunbeam and Kenwood dials have issues.. Been through 4 different models in the past 2 years… Maybe they have changed manufactures on this dial…

  • Can this machine handle dough as I read some aren't great.

    • +1

i've made pizza a few times without issues.
the hook isn't as non-stick as i'd like, but it's usable.

      • thanks for the feedback. Got one. Thx Oo. Mrs will be happy

        • Surely this will be a useful machine for many uses but for pizza dough I think a bread maker is usually the easiest.

Got the $20 voucher from other Lacoste polo shirt that they couldn't fulfill, so I am getting this for $159.40 delivered. Ms would be happy as we've been thinking of getting one.

    • Lol. Some jealous douchebag actually downvoted you.

  • Just to let you know that I tried to contact Amazon for a partial refund but they refused. Let me know if anyone successful get a refund

    • For anyone who bought the Braun Tribute Collection Food processor through OZBargain last week, I just found the matching "Braun Tribute Collection Bench blender - JB 3060 - White" as part of the 60% sale.

      https://www.amazon.com.au/Braun-TributeCollection-Bench-blen…

Probably isn't the world's best blender, but for people like me, who will probably only use it occassionally, I don't think you can go wrong at $31.98 with free delivery.

This mixer is very solid. Weighs a ton. Well worth it. Colour is nice.

    • +1

Agreed, colour is actually quite nice. Don't know what OP is on about.

      • +2

I don't think there's anything wrong with the colour. Just a poor choice of words on my part :)

        • +2

Haha no worries. Great first deal mate, thanks for taking the time to post.

  • HN, JB and TGG no one willing to price match as it occur at check out and not advertised price..

    • That's nonsense. The discount is mentioned below the advertised price.
Wish the ACCC would crack down on the fake "lowest price guarantees".

Since delivery is free, why even bother?

      • Completely agree, no matter where the discount occurs, the price is not discounted by a coupon so it follows all of their protocols..

        • so it follows all of their protocols

          It doesnt follow them.

The Good Guys do not list Amazon as a competitor so they will never match Amazon prices
          They also say.

          Find a lower price advertised

          Harvey Norman says

Simply present proof of the competitor’s advertised price

This price is not advertised. The advertised price is $299

You might have luck at JB HiFi as they do not mention an advertised price.

          However they do say

The competitor price must be verified by JB Hi-Fi

To verify the price any store would need to create an Amazon account and go through the checkout process which is more than checking the price.
It could also be seen as a 'member only' price as you cannot see the price unless you have an account.

        • @spaceflight:

It is advertised, just at the last part of the payment process, similar deals have happened at those B&M stores. The 40-60% off promotion is the advertisement.

Appliance sale: 40% off this item. Discount applied at checkout.

        • @doweyy:

          It's not.

          The advertised price is $299
There is an offer to apply a discount during the checkout however the item is still advertised for $299
There is a discount advertised, not a discounted price.

          If Amazon said

Price: $299.00 $179.40 after instant discount at checkout & FREE Delivery

Then the advertised price would be $179.40

        • @spaceflight:

That's an advertisement for 40% off, I would be annoyed if it was denied.

You cannot buy it for $299 at all.

        • @doweyy:

That's an advertisement for 40% off,

          Yes it is.

It is not an advertisement for $179.40.

If the conditions of price matching are "advertised price" then they do not need to match the Amazon advertised discount.

The Amazon discount is the same as if you went into Harvey Norman to buy this, got to the checkout and they said "we can do it for $150" so you put it back on the shelf and went to JB HiFi to ask them to match $150.

        • -1

          @spaceflight:

I didn't neg you, but your logic is flawed. A price at the checkout online is NOT the same as your example. You can see this price in checkout and show the cashier at any other store, they can also check it on their end too. So they should match it.

        • @doweyy:

Don't worry about it, someone probably used their daily allocation on me. Talk about lucky to get someones daily allocation all to myself! (I didn't neg you either)

It's only not the same because in my example you can't show them on your phone. Which is irrelevant as they will verify it themself as you could have a fake screenshot.

In either case the checkout price is not advertised and that is what you need to get a price match.

Needing to go to the checkout in a physical store or online to see if there is a cheaper price is not an advertised price.

      • But they are not advertising the discounted price and that's what is used for price matching.

The Amazon discount is the same as if you went into Harvey Norman to buy this, got to the checkout and they said "we can do it for $150" so you put it back on the shelf and went to JB HiFi to ask them to match $150.

Been hanging out for a good deal on a Kitchen Aid, but this looked to good to pass up.
    Got one! Thanks OP

  • Purchased one, and I don't even bake.

  • Was thinking about getting the Kenwood cooking chef in the POK eBay sale. Couldn’t pull the trigger as it was still hideously expensive.

Glad I waited. This doesn’t do everything I want but does most of it at a tenth of the price.

  • 1000W Motor Power to comfortably handle even the toughest of doughs

Why does the description say: Durable 500 W motor is perfect for small and large batches.

  • Bought one, am going to bake so hard.

    • +2

Bakery will be closing shop soon…

Thanks for this great offer! $179.40 including delivery is an amazing price for this quality mixer! The delivery alone is usually $19.00! I don't have a mixer but I do now!! Cheers

  • Bought this a year ago for about $300 and that was a good price. This is amazing!

  • I bought the Breville Scraper Mixer BEM430 from Big W for $99.00 through Ozbargain in July last year - probably similar in quality to this one, but 800w and looks much nicer!

I've found it great for everything that I throw at it - but as a single person, the quantities that I use generally tend to be small (eg 600 grams or so for dough).

So long as you work within their limitations these cheaper mixers are probably fine in the longer term.

    It's not $299 anymore!!! No!

Amazon Au has actually ran out of stock. Now it's from Catch Group and it's 438.9 plus delivery.

  • Managed to get one. Not sure how often I will use it

  • Was about to buy when I got home and now out of stock. Sad

  • Got one. Glad I didn't wait, I don't bake much but I knew I'd get FOMO if I didn't take the plunge. Is there a list of recipes for this thing?

    • Is there a list of recipes for this thing?

      Bread
      Cookies
      Cakes
      Muffins

  • Bought one of these for 255. After only 5 times of use, the plastic bit on the bottom of the bowl that locks onto the base of the mixer has cracked.
Have made a claim, part is out of stock and will take a month and a half to arrive.

    • Supplied by Catch group though - and at a price of $438. So not deal posted above, which was supplied by Amazon I believe

      • i still find it under the 40% tab here: https://www.amazon.com.au/b/ref=s9_acss_bw_cg_0318KHCL_1b1_w…

but then the products have 40% off sale. Discount applied at checkout under the ratings of that product. so yes its gone. i even went to checkout and no luck. thanks.

        • I saw it come back in stock and had Amazon apply the discount manually after I ordered. Your link helped as it was showing under the 40% tab search. Got 2 units.

  • Kinda frustrating that the black and white ones aren't in the sale…

  • Back in stock - says only 1 available though…

    • Saw it but couldn't check out. I did see a msg saying more stock was coming though

  • +1

Score! Looks like the offer is expired now, saw it come back in stock for $299 and got two units (one as a present), Amazon Live Chat applied the discount manually for me as it's still coming up as 40% on a search URL above despite not showing on the product page.

  • Still waiting for despatch notice. Has anyone receive theirs yet?

    • Yep, and I ordered late as well. Claims it'll be delivered tomorrow, but I'm somewhat doubtful.

Edit: just rechecked and apparently it's on board for delivery today. Very impressed, if it shows up!

  • Looks like it's even selling like hotcakes at $299 as it comes back in stock and then sells out. Mine is schedule for delivery Apr 2-5th but I ordered late

  • Mine arrived yesterday. Bloody Aus Post just left it at my door.

  • Mine arrived. Big box

  • +1

Mine arrived on Thursday. Baked my first cake today with it. Happy that I no longer have to scrape the bottom of the bowl. I love the creaming beater.

  • +1

Mine still wrapped in the box.
