Shopping Express is currently running a Trifecta deal. How it works as usual: Pick ONE item from each category (One from A, B and C) and the amount in the cart will show up as $149. Delivery costs still apply.

Now, are the deals actually real??

I spent about 20 mins compiling this table that shows how much each item would cost you if you went on eBay yourself and started using PICK5 or PHLUFFY coupons.

Not all items may produce a saving so look very closely at what you're buying and whether you actually need them.

Enjoy your tech deals.

Yeah great advert for an ebay type sale…

20 mins compiling on a Saturday, you deserve a +ve

weekday is different, your employer is paying for it lol

    • Posting deals isn't part of my job description. I only post when I actually have free time.

  • So much work!

  • +7

…and whether you actually need them.

What? If I did that, I wouldn't know the postie & my house would be clean & empty.

  • The Belkin bag pack would be awesome if its a battery charger bag with battery level indication instead of the reflector.

It would only be bad if everyone needs battery would come to you lol.

    • for the work but the "bargains" are not existent imho

I really miss the Trifecta deals they had years ago. Nothing particularly exciting in any of this unfortunately.

    • +2

due to massive price increases in core system components like Video cards and RAM, yeah the new Trifectas are nothing special. In the past they had good ABC deals on CPU / GPU / RAM.

I was more hoping for NAS. I've been eager for a new 4 Bay but far too tight to shell out $500+

        • I'm waiting for the ds918+ to come down. Whole hog or nothing

        • @justtoreply: I was watching the QNAP TS-451A, but now I see that the DS918+ has two M.2 NVMe slots! Looks like that's gonna be my next want!

        • @justtoreply: going by the previous model ds916 which I own and love. Synology don’t really discount that much over the product life until it’s superseded (ds918+) if you don’t mind missing out on the m.2 ssd slots of the ds 918+ The ds916 performance and features are near indentical and you may have better luck picking it up cheaper.

        • @solrak:

I thought the ds918+ was the first properly capable 4k transcoder? I don't really follow nas tech, I've never had one

      • I could do with a good CPU / GPU / RAM deal, but alas!

      • you mean price fixing

any good deal on WD Red 4TB?

    • +3

Why don't you go and search for one, then come back and tell all of us?

      Lazy or what? Sheesh!

  • +1

Don't need anything, but + for the work!

  • Hi there.
Need an advise if the graphics card can play well on 2560x1440?

Let's say the game is Far Cry 5 on high.

    Thank you

    • No chance of that. I'd be sceptical that you could get good frames (higher than 30) at 1920x1080 on high settings with an RX 550. Forget about 1440p

It would probably work well enough at that resolution on medium to low settings. But even then I'd be looking at benchmarks to be sure.

      • entry/mid range card of the latest generation and thats the case. It sure is sad

      • No chance is it?
I'm looking to buy graphics card atm.
        Any recommendations?

        • I'm not very well read on 1440p and what's good for it sorry. Shouldn't be difficult to Google it out though. Good luck.

        • For Farcry 5 at 1440p? You'd be looking at least a GTX 1070 for decent settings and framerates. You could probably get away with a GTX 1060 6gb or RX580 if you turn down the settings.

A GTX 1080 should allow you to almost max settings and maintain 60+ fps.

        • @jeefbeef:

          Sorry, it is 1080P.
          2560 X 1080.

  • Is dex worth it?

  • wd green is not 3d nand

  • hey is the rx550 2gb somewhat between the 1030 n 1050 non ti nvidia gpu?

    • more towards a 1030 than 1050

      • thanks - in that case the 1030 would be a cheaper option with a 30w tdp vs 55w. the 240 gb ssd it is then!
