    An Eneloop deal on Ozbargain?

    It's an Easter Miracle!

  • +7

    Finally, good old happy days.

This price gives me fond memories of dick.

      • +1

Dick can't be beaten even in this price

  • Any similar deal on AAA as well?

      • Cheers, have you found these to be as good as the Jap Eneloops?

        • I haven't tried this brand. My requirements are very basic, so I just buy the cheapest NiMH batteries I can find. (I would give these a go).

There's a review of Bonai that says they compare with Eneloops, but don't perform as well as the manufacture claims.

      • are these rebranded eneloops or some other random brand?

  • Seriously. I bought this 2 days ago. 😪

    • +3

You can check your order status. If it is not yet left the warehouse, you can cancel the order, then order again at this price.

      • Good idea but it has been shipped.

Despite their "was" price, I got it for $34.99 USD, so there's that.

        • +5

Amazon are pretty good with price changes, suggest you chat a rep and explain what happened, you will probably end up with a voucher code or credit on your account for the difference.

    Ordered two packs. Thanks OP.

Ladda from Ikea currently comes out at $2 a piece… and more capacity (think it's 2450mAh). And can be stacked with Ikea's current deal.

    • Yep! I bought 3 packs of each (AA and AAA) recently.

Capacity is 2450 and 900 respectively, but packaging quotes 500 charges and not the 2100 times quoted on the Eneloops.

I reckon I'd still prefer Eneloops at the same price, but $2 each at Ikea is still pretty good.

$2 per battery or less is my target price, so this deal isn't bad at all considering it includes delivery.

      • The white IKEA batteries are Eneloop Pro which are 500 charges.
Non pro Eneloop batteries are 2100 charges.

      • +1

Just curious what one does with that many batteries. No hate, just genuinely interested!

Edit: Just realised the Ikea ones are 4 packs…don't mind me.

    • and the high capacity ones from ikea are also made in japan.

  • Might be a stupid question, but given that these are batteries from overseas, will there be any issues with customs and getting these delivered?

    • +1

I don't think there is any issue with Customs, as this is Ni-MH batteries.

  • +2

The white IKEA batteries are Eneloop Pro are cheaper.

Eneloop pros should be chargeable same or more times than regular eneloops… but ikea’s web site says it can be charged approx 500 times…

      • +3

500 times is correct for Eneloop Pro batteries

        • My bad, i was expecting them to be equivalent in terms of cycles… but obviously capacity is better.

        • +2

          @quasims:

They would probably do the same number of cycles but after 500 cycles have less capacity

        • +1

look at the specs for min fully charged capacity, the pro seems to have the capacity of the normal after 500 charges ….. so charge 501 should be same capacity as std eneloop.

they still work after 500 charges but not to their original higher capacity … people seem to think they are time bombed and won’t charge on the 501th time.

      • +1

No, Eneloop Pro's have 500 recharge cycles as well.

        https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eneloop

The Eneloop Pro (or XX powered by Eneloop Technology in the US, Canada, and Europe) series was introduced in 2011. At that time, no AAA version was produced.[9] They have a higher capacity than regular Eneloop cells, 2,500 mAh (min. 2,400 mAh) for AA. However, they retain only 75% of their initial charge after one year, and can only be recharged 500 times. The product numbers are HR-3UWX (AA) and HR-3UWXA (AA).

  • Can I sand it?

  • +1

You can buy eneloops on ebay for less today sent from WA. $32~ AUD. THis is for 16 not 8 … forget this comment…

  • Bought aa. Cheers

  • Decent deal if you don't live near an Ikea, otherwise better just get the Laddas. There's just no need to spend over $2 per AA anymore.

  • ikea ftw

  • +2

Perfect for April 1 Eneloop (🔋ENE) currency day

  • What about this $45USD

Pro pack, charger, 8 AA 2 AAA… claims to be 50% off

  • How do these compare with Amazon branded made in Japan ones?
AmazonBasics AA Rechargeable Batteries (8-Pack) Pre-charged - Packaging May Vary https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CWNMV4G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_NJQ…

    • They are probably made in the same location to a lower capacity.

If you can get to an IKEA the Ladda are cheaper and have a higher capacity.
