    $697 on their website

    • Thanks. Does JB do price match from this store?

      • Wouldn't hurt to try, but I doubt it when their current price is $999 :/

        • Will try this noon!! Thanks.

        • @danger163:
Hi. Can you let me know how do you go at JB? Been wanting to buy this also. Thanks :)

        • @Vivie: sure. Will let you know.

If they dont do this, I will ask them to price match Amazon so that I can use discounted gift cards from my energy retailer.

    • That price is not available on their website now $867.00

  • Has anyone had any experience with this Arlo? Thanks:)

    • Yes, bit of an addict. Have two of these cameras, five of the older model and one of the newer (Pro 2). Love 'em. Hate 'em.

Can't recommend without knowing how you'd like to use them. There are situations they can work well for, and other things they suck at. Generally, if you're a home owner who's not planning to move any time soon, I'd be looking into a wired system first.

    • Yes, I have 8 x Arlo Pros and 2 x Arlo Q plus (wired version) and have the paid subscription. As Jabba mentioned, I love them but I also hate them sometimes. I'm sure I don't use them to their max capabilities but I have busted a common thief in the act whilst he was stealing my shit at our business premises, I haven't seen him since! (8 months now) If you have any specific questions I'll try to answer them.

      • what is the battery life/ average time between recharges you experience? thanks

        • Low traffic areas, like our backyard and rear gate I would say a comfortable 10-12 weeks, areas like our driveway which is low to medium 8-10 weeks. At our business premises, with high traffic, less than a week (if I am recording motion/ and audio) - the Pro is not suitable for high volume areas. So I will be making a few changes and probably place the Arlo Q plus in high traffic and areas and keep the Arlo Pro in low to medium traffic areas and or change my recording preferences to save battery. Anything wireless will have its limitations. I'm sure you could easily extend the battery life by 20%+ if you change the sensitivity/ alert types and picture quality etc but for the time being I'm fairly satisfied with them.

    • I've 4 and use 3 of them indoor and 1 outdoor. I don't like them as there is a significant delay on motion sensor. if someone walks past quickly you have the recording without that person (unless i setup something wrong).
I'm thinking of getting wired network cameras with cloud storage.

Read some reviews of this. If I'm not mistaken, the usability of this unit is poor if you DON'T sign up to the paid ongoing subscription

    • I’ve had Arlo since it came out and never paid for a subscription. It keeps videos for 7 days. Long enough for me.

      • I'm genuinely happy for you and maybe I over listened to the negativity from a few reviews I've read and when I studied the featured list. Thanks for your informed feedback :)

    • I also have Arlo Pro without a paid for subscription, and find it to be excellent - with 7 days and up to 5 cameras, it's good enough for me. Extremely rich in features, works reliably, and very flexible to my needs.

  • I have the Arlo and Arlo Pro with no subscription. I have not had any issues with the app or cameras or saving a video you want to keep. I wasn't going to wire my 2 storey house so I'm happy with their performance. My brother-in-law's wired system is much better in terms of picture quality and features though.

    • any recommendation on wired system? :)

All I can tell you is my BIL bought the cameras from China. The brand starts with a H. The brand is well know here but the exact name escapes me.

          Hikvision + Milestone = Excellent.

@ddr0001: Hikvision is the brand, thanks.

I can confirm that HN will price match MSY’s 3x camera kit that is listed on their site for under $700.

    • Thanks for better price! Will try at JB and HN. Whoever does it gets my money!
