        • @googoogaga:

Just to confirm, what you are saying is that this tracked by IP, and so using a different IP after the first 10 redemptions worked, regardless of the fact you always used the same email address?

        • @endolphin:
          yes that is correct.

        • -1

@googoogaga: by going to flight mode and back will give me a new IP?

        • @googoogaga:

can/have you confirm IP limit for this deal ?

        • +1

          @cumova:
it is 10 per ip address

You do not need to scan WRC(EDR) unless you have 5% off staff discount on it.

  • Can anyone confirm that everydaygiftcards.com.au will allow multiple VISA gift cards to purchase one WISH eGift card?

    • +1

unfortunately you cant split payments on everydaygiftcards.

      • That's disappointing.

  • just went to a local WW.

The rack where all the $100 gift cards are supposed to be was missing….workers didnt know where they were.

  • Went to three woolworths, first 2 empty, the 3rd one had maybe 40

I dont think these will fly off the shelf

  • I've just bought my first 10 gift cards. Has anyone successfully used the 10 visa1 gift cards to buy woollies egift cards? Usually when I add a new credit card when buying through cash rewards the system picks it up as a security problem and I have to call them up to rectify it and tell them that I authorised it. Not sure how it's going to go using 10 different visa gift cards.. .

    • That's why I'm only going to buy 2 for starters. Just in case… that plus I don't want $1000 of WW GCs at the end.

      • Yeah you're right, don't really want the hassle of going through a security check for 10 different cards

    • +2

Yes I have… Wasnt an issue for me. Didn't have to do any security checks?

Make sure you input a value of $105.26 so that you're using the full amount on your visa 1

      • Oh wow great!

      • Security check required if you try to put 10 cards through in same transaction at Woolies. Nine cards will go through OK.

For anyone that's looking to offload their DJ egift cards after the promo - I'm offering 60% of card value. Prefer to purchase larger amounts.

    • +3

That's pretty low… I think many would easily buy at 75-80%. It's easy to price match at DJ and their pricing is competitive enough.

      • Fair enough - I thought it was pretty generous actually but Ill let the market dictate.
Based on the previous REBEL UP and GO $10 vouchers that were selling at close to 50% - Im sure there will be an abundance of these as well since DJs doesn't sell much that people are after.. and people can simply mine DJs vouchers pretty easily with this promo

        • Unless someone does the combination job,the rate wont be good for a single $10 eGC.

        • @Neoika:

The fact is, you can use 5 online without an issue… $50 off any item is good value even at DJ's… so doubt anyone would be stupid enough to offload at 60% of card value!

    • -1

      Username does check out.

    • if you're willing to get them at 40% off , you should just go get em yourself at 90% off through this deal!

  • +1

So far, so good. Received my first 2 × $10 DJs eGift cards. Upping the ante and getting 4 x cards next.

  • Narellan woolies won't let you buy the visa giftcard with a wish giftcard…

    • Did you go through the self serve checkouts?

      • Nope through a person. Someone mentioned earlier on the thread that you can't buy gift cards at self serve?

  • -1

All of a sudden my local woolies ran out of stock. Had a tonne yesterday… I doubt they sold em all so quickly

    • -1

      i bought a few, sorry

  • Does it matter which of the designs of the $100 Visa cards you get?

    • +1

i bought the happy birthday and congratulations gc and had no problems. received my $10 dj vouchers

  • The woolie at Glen sold out the $100 ones.

Trying to track down other woolies that still has stock.

  • Plenty left at Woolies Belmont WA.

Am surprised this deal has 60votes and this one has double https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/370141

The flybuys one is spend $5.95 in fees. Get $10 back

For anyone that wants a laugh…

I was going through the GC recycling scheme discussed on page 1 yesterday. Went to my local, bought x10 visa GCs in the morning before work and then after work. A few 'senior' staff in the express lane/smoke buying area were like "wtf" is going on here and questioned my motives, obviously thought the entire thing was super suss. One of them even called the manager to get "approval" to which it was granted.

Anyway, went home laughing and joked about the entire experience to this girl I'm seeing and we both made the assumption I'm going to be 'known' at the local store as the crazy gift card guy. Come this morning I decide to stop off at the local WW to go through the process again and as I'm walking to the counter with my x10 visas some young kid runs and says he'll serve me… I told him it's going to take a while and he says "yeah you're the gift card guy - we were told about you".

Anyway he served me but when I went back this afternoon the 'senior' stickler staff basically refused to go through with the process; in the T&C you can't buy gift cards with gift cards and they decided to enforce it for whatever reason.

For anyone that's in Canberra this is Charny woolies. Yay I'm known there now lmao.

    • +1

I buy gift cards very often at multiple stores,

when theyre not on promotion, I get the odd "why are you buying so many" type of questions, sometimes a bit more aggressive, sometimes chat for chit chat,

however when theyre on promotion, most usually are perfectly happy to sell to you, as they know its on promo and chances are someone else has bought them before

    • +2

They probably have your picture up in the staff room now.

      • Probably haha

  • Bought a few gift cards this morning. Tried claiming the DJ $10 bonus and website shows error. Anyone face this issue?
Btw, there are heaps of gift cards in Garden City, WA.

    • I've got several $10 DJs cards so far without issue. Latest ones got last night.

      • Thanks.
Yeah…the one I bought yesterday was fine on the DJ bonus redemption. Had error for the one I purchased this morning. Not sure what happen?

        • Just to update that the redemption works fine now when I use firefox. I was using chrome previously. Anyway, not sure if this has anything to do with the browser I use.

  • Anyone knows how to best liquidate the $100 visa cards? Paypal with a fee is the best I have seen yet but perhaps there is a cheaper way than 2.6%? I can see myself use these for everyday expenses but that'd take a while and get annoying as they approach to 0. Would have to save them for split payments at woolworths then

    • Will paypal accept the visa as payment?

    • Use it to pay bills? U can usually split payment on bills (utilities, internet etc)

    • +2

You can set up an Australian currency account on Transferwise and credit it with the gift card. I think there's a .15% fee to credit the account with a debit card. There's also a 90c fee when you withdraw funds to your bank account.

    • +1

Ummm, buy more woolies egift cards through Cashrewards??

      • I had assumed they didn't want to mine DJs money for some reason.

        • Eventually you always end up with $1000 in gift cards though don't you? Don't really want to shop at Woolies that much so I'm going to look into the TransferWise option. Thank you :) it also took Woolworths 2 days to send out the eGift cards which I found rather unbelievable haha

  • +1

Pity Cash Rewards so slow releasing these gift cards when purchased…….. otherwise this deal would have got hit harder!

    • how hard have you hit it?

      • 3K so far…

        • 3k in David Jones gift cards? That's amazing

        • Wow I thought I was doing well but I've (possibly others) have milked Canberra dry.

          I'm just under $1k.

        • @Chthonic: how many trips to the store did that take?

        • +1

          @Big Dog:

I did it in lots of 10. About 4-5 at the one near my house before they refused to sell me anymore. 4-5 at other stores.

I'm getting another 10 tomorrow and there's two others in Canberra I'm tempted to suss out.

        • @Chthonic: you'd have to outlay a lot in WW GCs to start with if you're buying that many VISA cards in one go.

        • @Chthonic: how much did you outlay? The delay in receiving the gift cards has slowed everything right down for me.

        • @imissbeans:

Originally it was x2 $100 visas, then I thought 5 would be a good amount so bought 3 more ($500). Figured out my local had heaps and I could maximise it best at a total of 10 so bought another 5. So total being $1000 investment with the end goal of getting as many DJ gift cards as possible, which seems to be a max of 20 a day for me due to the delay in CR; while also ending up with x10 visa's and no WW GC's.

Due to a few snags I'm still going to end up with a decent amount and I have a way of best disposing of the visa's (by that I mean draining the money back into my bank without losing any due to any fees etc).

        • @Chthonic: hey that's impressive. I thought I was doing good but I am nowhere near 1k. How will you get the amount back into your account without fees? Will you use transferwise or is there a better way?

        • @imissbeans:

My way probably only applies to my situation unfortunately!

I see a shrink every fortnight and the cost is just over $100, asked him if I could do a split payment and he said sure. I plan on getting rid of them that way because my PHI covers the full cost (I'm with Defence Health Prem extras) so the money is just going to be put back into my bank account that way.

        • @Chthonic: oh I see! Good job

    • Did you buy the max 10 VISA cards? I didn't want to end up with $1000 worth of WW GCs.

  • wait, so you can buy $500.00 Woollies egift cards from cashrewards (for $475.00), using 5 x VISA1 prepaid gift cards?? And therefore recycle over and over??

    • The smart way is setting a customed GC amount, like n*$105.95.Use the eGC in one go,no remaining balance left.

If 4 cards per transaction, you should buy $423.8 eGC.

      • And can you split payments (multiple egift cards) when buying VISA1 cards using self checkout at Woollies?

I know you definitely can't at Kmart and Coles.

        • I paid at register with 2 plastic GC. I tried to pay at self checkout
but was asked to go to the register.

  • Because I have earnt $140 in DJ vouchers so far but that is mostly because I had $1,400 in govt related expenses.

  • Do we have to buy today or before today to get this offer (as part of regular one week offer) ? Or as long as claim before Apr 18? as I saw there are still few in local store and think to buy more tomorrow

    • +1

You have to buy the VISA1 cards by 11:59pm tonight, Tuesday 10 April.

Then you have until 18 April to claim the $10 DJs vouchers.

      • Thanks
Playing this cycle is too slow. For me, it takes at least 4 hours (pretty consistent) to order $105.26 by this visa card (to limit the deposit from other credit cards).

  • Where can I find them? I went to Lane Cove, town hall, crows nest. No stock..

    • I saw quite a lot at Wolli Creek Woolie a few days ago, but not sure if still available. Give them a call before you go

      (02) 8565 9281

      • Isn't it too late? OP above says "by 11:59pm tonight, Tuesday 10 April"

        • Wolli Creek Woolie open till 12am, it's a matter if they still have it, and have time to claim the DJ bonus GC before the deadline.

    • Looks you are living around Ryde to St Lenard. May try top ryde or west ryde, which are not common business places.
My local store is closing at 10pm, otherwise would PM you.

  • I called neutral bay, chatswood, Marsfiled, no luck….

  • Top ryde and west ryde both closes at 10pm.:(

  • Found them at Sorry Hill s and Balmain. Thanks op

Consolidating these things is pretty easy.

You can buy a physical DJ gift card for any value, then just pay in $10 increments.

The other option is making a bunch of $50 orders for C&C, then cancelling them all and having everything returned onto a single gift card.

I did both, x10 orders then just cancelled. Refunded onto a $500 gift card. Then purchased a second gift card paying $10 at a time which was a little painful but not too bad.

    • None of Classic gift cards ($50) available for Click & Collect.
Message: Not available for Click & Collect

      • You can't Click and Collect gift cards.

    • With the C&C option, do you order with the maximum 5 egift cards, then immediately cancel by emailing the Customer Service Centre of your nominated store, and they then email you one $50 consolidated egift card on cancellation? Thanks.

    • +1

U can goto David Jones customer service and they'll consolidate all your $10 gift cards for you . The service desk lady was extremely friendly, patient and helpful for me…

      • How many did you do?

        • +1

          60x $10

        • @SmiTTy:
          How did they process it

Can't imagine them typing in the barcode 60 times.

I have a bit more than you

        • @hellohello123:

Yep that's exactly what she did. I had all of them on one sheet and she went thru all of them for me (only allowed 200 per giftcard so she did 3 for me)

        • +1

          @SmiTTy:

Where did u do it? I tried using them at the counter today and it didnt even work

        • @cumova:

          Burwood NSW.
Goto customer service, not the counters to consolidate the cards (u can also call up and confirm they'll do it for u… Did this with Sydney DJ and they said it was fine)

Here's an alternative… Go online and buy a $50 item (or multiple in multiple transactions) and pay by giftcards. Go in store pickup, then return it straight away. They should give u one $50 gift card.

          Bit more of a hassle.

        • @SmiTTy:

How funny. i was at burwood today trying to buy something
Wasnt working and i read ur post so i was going to go the the customer service desk but it shops were closing. Will need to go tomorrow maybe
          Thanks for the help

        • @cumova: what do you mean not working? The $10 eGift Cards code and password?

        • @ausvicee:

I dunno what the lady was pressing. But then when she tried entering to code it just didnt work..
I just tried it on the dj website and they work. Wasted my time

        • @cumova:
I just spent all my $10 egift cards at the dj counter today, no issue. But I got a really long receipt

  • Is this promo still running - I see you can still claim until 18/04 but I cant see anything about purchase date of the Only1 card?
