Final Fantasy XV and Horizon Zero Dawn both received massive discounts in a short time period. The season pass for Final Fantasy XV went on sale before any of the content was even released for it (really stuffed me over for buying that at launch)

@Paligu: if you can wait, u can save $15。 what's the difference between a used one and a brand new one? a plastic seal?
Some of us don't have time to play it on release week (or month, or years in my case - I still haven't finished GoW Ascension!).
You can also sell the used game for a similar price after you've finished it in a few months.

Right, but you questioned someone stating that it could be had for ~$50 after a month on Gumtree, so if anything you started that discussion which other people then added to.
I've bought heaps of games second hand on gumtree/ebay and sold them once I'm finished. very economical way of gaming.
But this is only for titles you are not in a hurry to play. I won't be able to play god of war properly for a couple weeks after release so its an option for my situation.

I agree in the sense not to pre-order before reviews, but reviews are out praising it. However, I'll still wait as I love them patches.

Understand why a bandwagon exists before jumping on it.
Wise man once said, forgiveness is devine but never pay full price for new games. JK this game really looks awesome and most reviewers gave it perfect score.

The previous games are all fantastic but not necessary to play before this one. Good idea would be to watch some youtube story summaries so you have a general understanding on why Kratos is just so damn angry.

I bought one just now, and paid for express postage. Ebay's estimated time is the 23rd of April. Lets hope it's wrong, as someone above said they post their games out 1-2 days before release.

I think that ends with Kratos releasing the Titans who want some payback on the God's who have wronged both them and Kratos. If I'm right then you're in for a treat! GOW3 if by far the best in the series (at least until now) and the remaster can be picked up cheap on PS4.Yeah titans I remembered. Which one do I get next?

Depends on the person on the day. I price matched Project Cars 2 Deluxe edition for the standard price at the store in Blacktown NSW. Other stores are real d***s about it saying they are "not the same edition." I then question them asking "Do you believe the themes and extra dlc is worth another $30?". They then reply back "Yes".
Yeah, I tried price matching a day 1 edition at EB which cost exactly the same as their standard and they wouldn't do it.

Probably allowing for postage times to remote areas. Located in Sydney area, so maybe a remote area of WA might take 10 days to get there. If you dont receive by the 'expected date' you can at that time, lodge item not received claim with ebay(Not before that date) .

What's been anyone's experience with online pre-orders of games from Gamesmen, in terms of shipping times? They post a few days before release date, does it usually make it? For ref, I'm in Melb.
Debating whether to keep my order or just grab it on launch for a few dollars more ($69). That weekend is one of the rare times this year I have free and I'm craving me some GoW.
I think you're best to grab it in store mate. I love these games as well but monster hunter consumes me so I don't mind it being a little late. I'd say there's a good chance you'll have it on launch in Melbourne. I've ordered consoles from them and had them on launch date.

Is it possible to play the older games on ps4 and which ones (and order) to play before this one? TIA3 was remastered for ps4, not sure about the other games though aside from playing them through PSnow
