  • "Sorry, products not found."

Edit: Seems to be back again. Anyone used these? Whats the bass like?

    • really good bass, kinda distorts on 100% volume. so use at 70%

  • Seems like a good deal and I'm looking for a pair of cheap earphones to carry around when I don't have my Sony MDR-1000XM2s. Has anyone got these and what are they like in terms of sound quality and comfort?

    • +3

I have them. Sound quality is OK. Probably equal to most earphones here in the $80-$100 range.

    • +1

they sound great, if you like a bass heavy sound. I've had a few pairs (use them daily, gym, etc) and rate them, but not an analytical sound if that is more your style.

    • the 5th gen ones. theyre called Mi Pro hd. these are 4th gen mi hd.

5th gen have a good balance. i got them for 55-60$.

    • At this price? no. You're looking at around the 100AUD price range even for chifi.

  • +1

    Is the Pro version better?

    • pro are more analytical.
I prefer these for their bass heavy fun sound. ymmv.

    • Nope. They're not even in the remotely similar style of earphones. The pro is a detailed earphones that focuses on the mids and high, with weak bass.

This is a V shape earphone with muffled middle. It's fun for sure, but not that detailed.

    • +1

They both have very different sound signatures.

Personally I prefer this version as it has a V shape sound signature, the bass is much more pronounced.

The pro version is a lot more flat but still has great details.

Which one is better depends on your taste really. Most casual listeners like myself, would probably prefer these over the pro's I reckon

      • Yes, definitely. I have both and the pro hds sound weird in comparison. They are also a lot heavier.

    • Pro has more detail and clarity. But the treble is overbearing. 's' sounds from a female vocalist I would sometimes describe as 'scratchy' at times. It doesn't sound natural.

It's a real shame, because the clarity and detail blow the IV out of the water, and it's hard to go back. But I can't take the harsh treble.

Overall if I had to choose, I'd recommend these over the Pro.

The Pro has a more premium packaging. You get a carry bag with it also.

  • How much better would these be than the Xiaomi mi piston fresh edition I have been using for months?

  • +1

something to keep in mind with these is that if you're not really careful with the cord, it gets badly twisted/tangled to the point of making the headphones borderline unusable. i own these and i'd honestly say either go with the piston fresh edition or spend a bit more on the triple driver hybrid pro.

    • +2

Got these and have never had a problem with the cord. Also, went swimming in the beach with them in my pocket and they still work perfectly.

      • +1

Water exposure doesn't really tend to be a problem for earphones if you can dry them out. Real concern is the cable getting damaged which happens a lot easier from getting thrashed around in the water (especially washing machine). But also I don't have a problem the the cable on these earphones, much easier to untangle than sticky soft touch plastic.

      • Have had mine in the washing machine a couple of times. Still work great. Generally with non battery earphones, water is not a problem as long as they are dried out before next use

      • +1

        Same.

The cables are braided. I haven't hand tangling issues with them.

  • What's the shipping like?

    • +16

A floating truck without wheels but with a propeller.

      • +2

Also some sailors waving when they leave/arrive at port

    • +1

I take it you have a crapple?

    • +1

      50cent is so 2002

      • +1

hahah it took you 3 hours to come up with that LOL

        • +2

Lol well you didn't neg my crapple comment, so I wanted to get a reaction out of you haha

        • It takes more than that to get a reaction out of 50 Cent @montorola:

It says shipping time is around 3-5 days, anyone knows it’s accurate or it’s just bs? Thank you

    • thats for expedited shipping. choose regular postal service unless you want to pay an extra $12.

      • Thanks mate! Just tried to check out and it’s showing 14-28 days for free shipping.

  • Is the cord quality similar to fresh edition? My fresh edition broke (one ear not working) after several months usage

  • +7

Price changed to 30.68 AUD now?

    • +1

Getting the same issue as well.

    • same here

Sound quality sucks compared to my google pixel earphones. Absolutely no bass what so ever. Fit also sucks. I would rather spend more money to get a decent pair of earphones.

    • Interesting how everyone else plus Web reviews say the bass is amazing but not you. Maybe you're fitting them incorrectly or there is a fault?

      • looks like it, when compare a BMX with a BMW.. the cheaper one mostly sucks

      • Nah just the stock earphones they provide for the google pixel mobile.

        • Unfortunately they don't provide earphones in the pixel 2 box these days :(

        • @midlake: Wow they be cheaping out these days.

      • Those are known to be crappy.

I assumed he meant the pack ins.

    • You get multiple ear tips if they don't fit you well.

I can't comment on the pixel sound because I don't have one.

But for the price you pay, these are pretty good.
