The code is unique for each user. Mine is slightly different.
EDIT: Also I don't know if you got shortchanged but mine says it's valid for the next 4 trips.
EDIT 2: Looks like the codes are different as per amount of free rides they're offering. My code was AU5X4H6, as in $5 x 4.

Try redeeming via the web browser, mine didn’t work in the app but did when I logged into the website.
Just use Ola whilst it is 50% off.
However, judging by Ola's pricing, they won't be competitive once they drop the 50% off. And they sent me a notification today at only 30% off. If they are winding down the discount, they are dead in the water. Because if Uber is cheaper and has heaps of cabs (Ola has very few cabs!) then why bother with Ola.
Down to $5 off each ride for me using Ola.
Which is ok since most of my rides are around $11 at "normal" prices.However, has anyone else noticed that the same ride seems to be costing more now on Ola (well the "normal" price seems to be higher) ?
Only codes Uber has emailed me is for new users. So not sure how much sense that makes.
Yes, undiscounted price for ola seems higher than undiscounted price for uber. Hence ola will fail.. Higher price, less drivers.
But while it's discounted it's a no brainer.
