HAte these QFF points, not worth much these days anyway. Before I cold fly to Fiji return with 20,000 points, now it's bloody ridiculous !
Need to spend $10,000 to gt a $200 flight !
Now I have to get 2500 points, otherwise I loose all my Points ! Thanks Qantas… These are the new conditions to reinstate my points after Woolies pulled the plug on points, I wasn't even watching, I was sick in and out of hospital, and I didn't see any emails about it.
Not sure if it's even possible if I transfer points, then it's probably not valid. Need to call them and see.

    • Use them for upgrades or outright business class flights. Still plenty of value in the QFF game albeit not so much this particular deal.

    • For Woolies you can convert the point to QFF

also this deal seems a lot easier to score 75K QFF https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/373142

    • My suggestion is keep badgering Qantas for your points; especially if it is because you have been sick. Many years ago we had enough points for two of us to do an around the world trip. We would get regular emails telling us how many points and when they would expire. Suddenly they stopped telling us the expiry date and just told us the number of points; after a while we got an email saying we had no points because they had expired. I did email ping pong with them for about 6 months about getting our points back but I was stymied until I mentioned that their emails used to tell you when the points would expire but they had stopped doing that; I even attached an example of the old emails. I think that hit a nerve because they gave us all our points back and told us we had one week to book. We sat down, worked out our itinerary then booked Canada and France. This was back when there were a lot less options for picking up points so I wasn't going to go down without a fight. You need to appeal to the "this wouldn't look good" on social media or the current affair programs vibe without being obnoxious about it.

Now, my credit card is linked to my frequent flyer points and I am now to the point I can do a return economy to London and building up to return to France. We are a lot more careful now days.

    • Where is the new condition ? I haven't see any email or term from qantas about my point's validity.

        www.qantas.com/fflyer/dyn/program/points-expiry

"Your Qantas Points won't expire provided you earn or use Qantas Points through your account at least once every 18 months. This includes earning or using Qantas Points with our program partners, but does not include transferring points to or from an eligible family member (family transfer) or the transfer of points from Qantas Business Rewards."

I presume the quickest & cheapest option would be to buy something on Ebay for a couple of dollars using the qantas online mall click-through link:
        https://onlinemall.qantaspoints.com/

(a bit like cashrewards except you get 1 point per dollar instead of cashback)
