First post ever:

I just bought this at $42.23 (Limited to 1 order)
- discount gets removed if you try to add more than 1 in the cart
- It's $51.47 if you paid for one already, and 're-order' another one.

Never tried the website before, but it's associated with JD.com (which is very reputable in China).

    hmmmmmmmmm

idk if I wanna risk it

The website claims 100mbs read 90mbs write. That seems too high?

    • +1

Pretty sure that's just from Samsung's website

Amazing price for the 128GB considering PC Byte regularly sells this for $53 on 20% off. The 256GB at $114 is definitely the best price I have seen. Tough decision about whether to trust the seller.

Seems to be read 100MB/s & Write 60MB/s (not 90)
    https://www.samsung.com/us/computing/memory-storage/memory-c…

Interestingly, the Australian Samsung site is only showing an older U1 version, not the U3 version.
    http://www.samsung.com/au/consumer/memory-storage/memory-car…
    Website out of date?

Officeworks is selling this for a much higher price.
    https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/samsung-ev…

    But then I found this:
    http://www.legitreviews.com/samsung-evo-plus-128gb-microsdxc…
Seems to be a real packaging photo showing the same speeds?

And this for the select model, not the evo?
    https://www.samsung.com/us/computing/memory-storage/memory-c…

I'm more confused than when I started.

Evo select is just repainted evo plus and is Amazon exclusive. They are the same cards.

The new Evo plus 64gb, 128gb and 256gb are all U3 rated. The 32gb is still U1 however.

The only question is whether you trust the seller.

I got two from Joybuy a few months ago. They're genuine and is 90 write (tested)

        • +1

really excited after reading this, thanks!

    • +2

The 60MB/s write is for the 64GB model. The 128GB model can do up to 100MB/s read and 90MB/s write.

  • How can we tell it’s a fake or not?

    • +1

Inspect the packaging, then test the card capacity and speed with something like H2TestW

    • +2

You can generally trust all products from "Joy collection", they are genuine.

you just can't, i bought a xiaomi from them b4 and broken after 3 months

      • +3

maybe that has something more to do with Xiaomi, rather than the seller?

  • +1

I've been burned before so will wait for aussie seller

  • +1

darn, out of stock for the 128gb

    • Still available on my end

  • Dang it! I somehow got over excited and thought I was buying an SSD… lol

  • good specs for a dslr?

    • This is not for a DSLR

      • Really? I think they're perfect! Micro SD cards are easily fast and big enough for me, and they fit in laptops phones etc for easy transfer to other devices =) (also they can be easily repurposed when needed!)

    • Check your DSLR's manual to see what SD card capacities and speeds it supports. A grade 3 class 10 SD card is fast enough for almost anything other than ultra high speed Phantom cameras or crazy 8K Red cameras.

      • +3

I just bought a $5,000 8K camera and now I'm gonna skimp on SDcards!

    • See below. I think they're perfect for a camera.

Having trouble at checkout trying to use a divipay card.

Getting an insufficient balance error, anyone else have any issues so far?

  • +1

Looks like the flash sale's over now. Price literally changed right after I added the card to my cart and was about to check out.. $51 now.. oh well. Maybe next time. Thanks again OP.

  • Is $51 AUD still a good deal for this ?

    • +1

If you don't mind 8 dollars.

  • Avoid buying from a site like this, MicroSD cards are the most pirated products you can buy online.
90% of the online stores that sell them are fakes, i've spoken to Samsung AU about this directly.
Some fakes are impossible to tell from packaging unless you run a Read/Write Speed using H2TestW
This place exists in HongKong, [Address:Suite 1203, 12/F Ruttonjee House,11Duddell Street, Central, Hong Kong.] forget it

    • So no need to avoid If they can't be separated from the original ones.

    • I'd be putting more faith in JD.com than eBay. Of course Samsung AU would have a hissy fit because you're not buying from them directly. Joybuy would be selling from Samsung CN or HK.

      • Never said eBay is a reputable place.

For such a pirated product, it's best to get directly from the vendor.

Samsung AU would have a hissy fit because you're not buying from them directly

I dont think a company the size of Samsung would give 2 and a 1/2 tosses on where their microSD cards (of such low margins) are bought from.

I think their concerns of dodgy MicroSD cards are ace

        • eBay was my bad example. I know for a fact that Samsung in Europe have been telling people who bought from China that they're unauthorised and will have no local warranty. Perhaps that's the issue.

Regardless those who have purchased will find out when it arrives.

  • seems still available….

  • Hey I just clicked on "Go To Deal" and this still works!.. will test and you guys know

    • Just received mine today!

  • I just tested mine a couple of times. I think I got duped.

read and write at 18. Any of you guy get the same thing?
