My wife was shopping around for a Versa and they are around $280-300, so this was a great find when it popped up on my flybuys. Great mothers day present! I personally prefer a smartwatch like the Ticwatch E, but she only cared about the fitness tracker which is top notch I have heard.

Ionic costs $247 (plus 2000 points) at the Qantas Store. Even at the inflated (debatable) value of 1c per point makes it $267.

From the review from redit (and others) you cannot reply text, accept or reject calls with Android OS, can do so with iOS though and the display is not always on, need to turn your wrist or tab on the watch face.
Was looking at replacing my pebble but I think I will wait for another generation of Fitbit then, disappointed that Fitbit bought Pebble and didn’t release the Pebble Time 2-like watch which what I was anticipated for

Medibank members can get the versa for $224 plus postage. That's an alternative since this seems to be price error?
Fitbit suck in that you have to have an internet connection to be able to make use of the features of these devices.
It works to see the data for the day but to see anything previous the data has to go to Fitbit servers first and then back to your phone/tablet/computer.

It has been a "feature request" on their forums for over 4 years to have the data hit local device first and then go to Fitbit servers when an internet connection is available but so far Fitbit have ignored this. They have implemented other requests with far less upvotes instead.

In use cases like going camping or say a longer cruise where internet is either not available at all or hellishly expensive it means not being able to see what you have done.
Yes some Fitbit devices hold up to 7 days of data that can be uploaded when you get back into "the real world" but you should be able to view your own data without it having to go to Fitbit servers first.
Do check out the Versa in store before buying it, I found it awkwardly big for it's rounded squarish face, doesn't help that it comes paired with a tiny wrist strap. The Ionic is slightly better in that regards.
