  • These are IP cameras and will not work with existing analog systems
  • To get these cameras running you will need a Network Video Recorder (NVR). This can be Samsung (included in sale) or third-party. The cameras have web based interfaces and can work with many different NVRs, provided that those NVRs conform with industry standards. We can only guarantee compatibility with Samsung NVRs.
  • These cameras require data cabling to work and will not work with coaxial cables
  • These are all wired cameras with one cable required for both data and power - PoE (Power over Ethernet) — excluding PTZs which require a separate power connection.

  • Ozbargain community, I am in the market for a cost effective in home system to watch my elderly mother to make sure she is fine when I am at work during the day, I am not a tech person and would appreciate your advice if this is something I should get for that purpose.

    • Xiaomi Dafang. 360 degrees tilt

      • I agree. I bought 3 to keep an eye on my pets while away. The cost is low for these cameras but the quality is good and with the pan and tilt I can easily cover a whole room from a shelf in the corner.

  • Can these dome cameras be mounted on a vertical wall? or do you recommend using bullet cameras?

Whats the benefits of a bullet camera vs dome camera?

    • With a dome camera, someone can't chuck something at it and point the camera towards the ceiling. They also look a bit neater. One disadvantage is that at night, the IR LEDs can reflect back into the camera causing glare. A well-made turret camera is the best of both worlds.

      • Hmmm, tempted to buy but wont be installing it until another 8-9months later. So warranty pretty much useless…….

        • Just connect them up and leave them running for the next 8-9 months? If they work for the first 8-9 months they'll likely work fine for the next few years.

Cheaper on ebay at $59 free shipping + another 10% off until 2pm today for orders over $75:

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-CCTV-Camera-SND-L5013P-1…

    • Its actually the same company.

      • -3

It's still actually cheaper to buy them from ebay than the link provided in the OP.

        • Not disputing that, just stating the facts about the company.

  • I need 4 cameras, however, I'm thinking if I get 2 panoramic cameras, it could do the job of 4. Anyone with any opinion on this (benefit/downsides)? Thanks

  • How do these compare with hikvision.

    https://www.securitywholesalers.com.au/product/5mp-4ch-hikvi…

I have heard of some good reviews for hikvision. The link above is 1200 for 4 cameras - 6mp and a nvr.
