we can protest and refuse to use the 10% coupons, until they cave in and give us 15% or 20%.
so, obviously eBay sees the 10% 'nudge' works in getting people to spend on its platform.

I have never received one in 10 years and I am thinking it could be a spam filter or something somewhere..You need to go and opt in for all marketing. I now get targetted, after not getting any deals for years.

I'm sat here with a cart that won't be purchased unless there is another 10%, thinking… eBay charges a 11% fee in general, so a 10% off means they get a huge rush of business and still make a 1% cut. '1% of $$$' is probably more than 11% of their normal trading in that time surely?
I don't see why they wouldn't run another one for a couple of hours for everyone.
That includes gst so it’s only 10% which means no profit.

If that's the case, and/or people listed an item using a free eBay listing with no fees, then eBay would be losing money.

@upsidedownlemon: When was the last time you paid via bank transfer or had a buyer pay you via bank transfer? Ever since they forced it a few years ago I've not had a single instance of either (me paying or receiving via bank transfer).
What? Fees are 10.9%, thats pretty close. Plus insertion fees.
Maybe put a few items in your cart to add stuff to your watchlist in case that triggers eBay to target you.

I got the email, but on the email it self, it says "*max disc $300. 2 txn pp. Exlcusions & T&Cs apply" I would assume the 2txn pp meant 2 transactions per person, how ever on the actual T&Cs page, it says only 1 transaction per person..?

So what is the criteria required to be targeted with this offer ? To have an ebay account that you haven't used in 6 or 12 months ? Or to have an ebay account that you haven't used or haven't logged into for 6 or 12 months ? I have an ebay accounts that is 6 months olds and never purchased yet I have not been targeted with this offer.
Dunno, this deal works for me. I log in daily and the last time I made a purchase was at the 10% sitewide (27/4/2018) two items worth $700+ total
