  • Sounds too good to be true.

    What's the catch?

    • I have an old MyNetPhone account from years ago and according to the email I got from them about this it is for existing customers only:

"(This is an exclusive offer, only for MyNetFone customers)."
      and
"PS:These mobile plans are only available to existing customers"

      • I was advised by MyNetFone that I could share the offer.

  • include ongoing cost after free period

    • You don't need to enter anything, just hit Start Order.

      • Yeah, but on the next page it says that incorrect details can void your order…

Me thinks leaving it blank just might not work.

        • +2

I think that's more a part of a referral program, its not needed to continue.

“All for use in Australia. Additional data (if you run out) is $8/GB, we will automatically add a 1GB data bolt-on to your plan each time your data is fully depleted, this will be added up to 5 times per plan cycle. Plans are for personal use only, subject to our Acceptable Use Policy.”

This will be a possible catch. Do they warn you when you reach your limit or just debit your card?

    • +1

Just use a prepaid credit card if you’re concerned. That’s what I did.

      • +1

        That's what I did too

How is this any better than ALDImobile?

    • +4

looks like its free for the first month

  • Wow, what is the catch? Could be similar with Kogan free credit on the months before?

  • Further in the application asks 'Enter Promotional Code' - just proceed with that blank will get this free deal?

    • -1

      One month free offer

  • Maybe I am blind but where does it mention only the 15GB plan is free first month ? Isn’t it all plans ? Blind as a bat…..

Cos says $5 for the sim card?

    • +2

      Where does it say that?
      From payment in successful order:

It ia from the link to cis. Possibly for general case and not this offer.

  • Is it on Telstra retail network?

    • Doubt it. Likely be Wholesale.

    Thanks! Another great deal, headphonejack👍

Look out for virgin mobile sim only deals. Last time scored unlimited plus 20gb 30 dollars. Nothing has come close to beating it yet.

    • +1

      But this deal is FREE?

  • Can I use the $20 VOIP credit that they've held onto for years despite not using their service?

  • +1

Doh, just bought the Kogan $4.90 23GB deal a few hours ago! I just needed something for a month.

  • If I transfer my number, any idea if the transfer will be initiated when I purchase the plan, or I can choose to initiate the transfer later? A bit worried because it is already asking for info that is usually requested by others only upon the actual transfer….

    • Same question here. Waiting for the answer.

    • I guess they can't initiate the transfer until they have sent you a sim and you have confirmed you have it by asking for it to be activated.

    • The transfer will be initiated at a time of your choosing.

I have received my SIM and the port from an Optus account took less than 10 minutes.

  • Are we supposed to get a confirmation email after signing up?

    • +1

Yes, you should receive one with your order ID.

  • Ordered the sim and noticed the following in the confirmation email “We will charge the plan fee and postage fee upfront“. Does this mean they will charge on upfront on activation the second month plan fee?

  • anyone know how long it takes for the sim to arrive?

    • +2

      Mine took exactly one week.

  • Has the Deal expired? Seems I could not find the link for this deal?? Please help cheers!

    • +2

Works - still free first month, just checked. Deal link takes me to offer. Choose plan, click Buy - takes you to sign up.

    Received SIM today in Brissie😀
    Ordered on 7th.
Remember - activate within 1 month for this offer - no details of this offer in letter.

  • Got both sims today. Activated one of them, and then plan on activating the 2nd one just before one month while cancelling the first. Question, would i get charged for the second sim…what i mean is does the month start on activation or on date of order?

  • +1

Got my sim today in Melbourne. Ordered on 8th.Might've been here yesterday didn't check mail. Gonna wait a couple of weeks to activate.
Can't wait to hear if people have any problems cancelling or deactivating,i wonder if it's possible to deactivate but still receive incoming?
I didn't check details to much just ordered.

  • Thank you OP.

    Ordered.

Any idea how we cancel at 1 month's time?

Or, do we need to port out and cancelled, and can we just cancel and leave the SIM dormant?

    • If you want to leave the SIM dormant, you can cancel by calling 1300 048 731.

If you port out, the service would be cancelled automatically so there would be no need to call them.

      • +1

        Thanks - much appreciated.

  • I was only able to activate. No option to port number.

  • Is this on a 28 or 30 day cycle, tried checking the CIS but doesnt't seem too clear.

    Edit: Found it!
We operate anniversary billing. This means that if you activate a service with us on days 1-28 in a given month, we will bill you on that same date each commencing month. Where your service is activated on days 29-31, we will bill you monthly on the 28th day commencing the following month

  • I was going to stop my service after the first free month but could not find how to in the web portal. While checking i noticed the plan renewed for another month, but i still havent been charged yet… Its linked to a prepaid card with little money. Anyone know if they are going to charge soon? Or really a 2nd free month?

    • There is no option to terminate your service from the web portal. You have to call them on 1300 048 731.

I ported my number before it was renewed and I’d say you’re lucky you haven’t been charged yet as there is nothing to indicate a second free month.

        From Portal - [E-Support]

        [Create New E-Support]
        Select Option: [Accounts]
        Account option: [Account Details]

Select a Account Details query: [Termination of Services]
(Submit Termination request + removal of payment method, with your full details & number)

    • Ask them to remove your credit card info from your account. They will then not charging you for further.

      • ok thanks all, cancelled. via portal e ticket

  • I think the $17/month deal has expired. It's not showing any more on their website.

    • It's the first option (1GB, Unlimited calls, Unlimited text $17) - just checked site.
