Catch Connect uses the Optus 4G Network. All data is available up front and can be used anytime over the 365 days.

They support Global Roaming which is a big plus for me.

“All data is available up front and can be used anytime over the 365 days.”

That’s where the money is made, catch betting on big % going through the data early & have to keep topping up for the remainder of the contract

eh. most likely injection of cashflow is more important to them as it's pay upfront.

I think 180gb/y is a better offer than 15gb/m. Gives you the flexibility to go over and under the 15gb average as you need. If you want to limit yourself to 15 every month, you can do that on your device.

$11.58 for unlimited calls, texts and 3gb of data a month sounds pretty good to me.

    • Especially if Optus is a viable alternative for your locale .

      • kinda data rollover and future borrow…

Only thing on the payment is Credit Card only, not even their own Gift Card… sounds like they have no faith in their own ?

    • would be great if accept GC, as they're 20% off at Woolies.

      • Yeah, that's what I am thinking too, this should beat all other deals if combine with GC, but let's hope in the future ~~

It clearly states in their Gift Card T&Cs that they cannot be redeemed for Catch Connect purchases.

    365 Day - 36GB - $139 -

    Belong (telstra) still looks better.
$20 this week from Coles for starter SIM 15GB, then $10/month +1GB. Similar cost and GB but less risk of accidentally burning it all, and better network.
I personally like their voice->SMS service instead of voicemail, but some may not, so you can divert to other services.

    • No intl roaming though.

      • We want cheap. Better to use call divert, voice to email, local SIM, …
Those euro-roaming SIMs listed here are good.

A lot of people only need roaming for their work phone, if at all.

Belong uses Telstra's wholesale network, not their souped-up 4GX-branded stuff. Max download rates are lower (but still more than adequate), but the regional coverage is significantly lower.

That's another set of considerations, along with the fact that another $50 doubles your data allowance with Catch, and that Belong's plans will still be there when your year is up. Another $50 on Belong only gets you around 18 GB more.

It looks like a really great fall back plan though, so thanks for mentioning it.
