These % off posts from Repco are useless when we have no idea what the full retail price is!

    • +13

Yeah, Repco website is one of the worst. Hardly any info on any of their products.

      • It’s a way to protect their franchisees

        • +1

Right… like they are trying to protect from buyers buying their products…

      • They have updated their website!!!!!
        1990's no more.

    • You can wager that the the prices are standard RRP which you could reference from another website, or even call them to confirm before making the trip to the store, which is worth while as if the item is on sale already then there's no further discount.

      • +2

Unfortunately you cant rely on the RRP elsewhere, often repco's % off and RRP are fake and they dont care about ACCC laws surrounding fake sales. For example in the latest Repco catalogue

CTEK 7.0 amp battery charger 1/2 price $179

You can get these from numerous retailers, and Ebay before coupons for the same price or even a couple of dollars less such as autoelec.com.au for $170 every day price.

CTEK 12.0 amp battery charger $279 save $194

This can be purchased for $242 from autoelec.com.au and in the $240 range from several other retailers as every day price.

So their claims of half price, and save $194 are misleading. Pays to shop around with repco.

  • Gotta say that the website does not search very well. Was trying to look up rain X products but failed every time despite there being a rain x product in the picture under by e 59% off windscreen additives.

  • Do they sell service kit set for Honda Grom?

  • Does anyone know if paints would be classified as "garage equipment"

    • +3

That would depend where you paint your car.

  • +3

These Repco deals always stink. Best to wait for Sca sales

  • +1

Can anyone comment on the quality of their wipers? Thank you.

    • +2

Don't know about repco but I recently got Michelin wipers from Costco and they are excellent about 25 for the two.

  • +4

My mate said i need some blinker fluid, would that also be included?

    • Yes

    • +5

make sure you pick up a left handed screwdriver as well, otherwise you wont be able to open the blinker fluid bottle.

  • +13

2018 and look at that website

  • +23

Even MSY's website is more user friendly….and that says a lot 😂😂

    • Even Big W's site it better compared to Repco's

  • Great… so the specials in the catalogue aren't that great, but can't use the 40% off or whatever in conjunction but can't use it instead…

  • So 50% off on all the parts in store that no one cares about. Ok cool

  • Any carby cleaner included?

    need 3-4 cans

    • Thats a lot of carby cleaner. I recently bought the most expensive carby cleaner from repco for a dodgy carb. Didn't do any better from the cheaper type. I hate pulling carbs apart but looks like i will have to in this case.

  • Repco vs SCA for a jack? quality wise. Need a jack to do a service on my car and the one I have was rated for 1400kg and my car is just on 1400kg ish, would rather it not break and buy a 2000kg+ one for future use also.

    • +2

      Everyone needs a good jack

    • Same here. SCA has sale for 2000kg for club members. Price is roughly about the same. Not sure which one to get (SCA vs ProLift)

    • +6

That will be fine… 1400kg is the entire weight of the car. But presumably you will only be jacking up one side… So the required weight of the jack isn't 1400 but much less!

      • It's so simple but I never thought about that, I bought a toolpro 1600kg jack for $52 with $10 on my club card that they gifted me for some reason, they must know I like spending money at their stores lol, my car weighs 1300kg so it was good pricing.

        • Remember to use jackstands

      • My car is 1695kg in total - would I be better off getting the 2T stand instead of the 1600kg one?

    • +2

Costco, when they're in stock, have excellent and well priced low profile jacks. Cheaper than the equivalent at SCA at least. I haven't checked out Repco jacks.

The axle stands at Costco are also pretty impressive in terms of build and price.

New website going live very soon!

    • Hmhmm.

    • No hurries, take your time.

What's everyone's best recommendation for window washer additive?

I've been using Trico vision for years but thought I'd try something else for a change.

    • +1

      rain-x

    R.E.P.C.O = Rip Every Poor C*** Off.

The discounts don't mean much when the prices can be so jacked up compared to other stores.

Working on my car one day and a friend who was coming past said "I'm driving pat repco do you want me to grab anything" he bought a gasket silicon and it was triple the price of supercheap and autobarn, I then had to fix him up the money for it lol.

I once bought a gasket from the trade desk and saw the pricing structures when the employee showed me a photo of it on the computer to check if it was the correct shape. It said retail $9.99, trade 6.99, then at the bottom $1.99. When I asked "which price do I get?" she gave it to me for $1.99.

    • Yeah, I've had similar experiences. I was looking for some deep impact sockets and their set in the display cabinet didn't have pricing.

I asked the guy "how much?" and when he told me I just burst out laughing. It was hilariously expensive. He had the decency the look embarrassed at least though, to be fair.

Anyway, I asked him what his best price was and he dropped it by 60%. Which made them just expensive. But I needed then and they were decent quality so I got them. On the upside, being so expensive, I've been very careful with them and never lost any.

Last week I got glow plugs at a decent price there though - better than I could find online. They did ask how much they'd quoted me on the phone though, so maybe they quote trade if you call up first? Don't know. I wasn't calling to price check but make sure they had stock before I made the trip.

      Food for thought though.

      • Yeah markup on some items is insane, trade is where they do most their business from what my mate tells me and the trade prices are quite reasonable.

Everyday walk-in joe blow cops it though.

    • I`ve generally noticed the same. However I got a serpentine belt for 11 bucks there as appose to 65 for a gates and 40 to a calibre or veale offering. Repco own brand though.

  • went in store and windscreen additives not on sale

  • Thanks OP, I needed some new wiper blades do this will be handy

    • Also needed wiper blades. Just picked up a pair myself. $11. Thanks op!

    • Also also needed wiper blades. A pair would have cost $90 but got it for $45. thanks OP. Am still in shock as to how much wipers cost.

  • +1

Windscreen Wipers for $90 !! What the !!! Must be gold plated brass with Titanium edged rubbers.
On another note, I bought 5 Litres of Bar’s Bugs Windscreen Cleaner and they wanted me to pay $36.
I mentioned the 50% off deal and they shrugged their shoulders, then I told them that it's $33 at Supercheap,
They must have felt bad and finally gave me 50% off.
$3.6/l is much better than $13/l, I'll just share it round with my family and mates, prob be gone in 3 months

NOW for the inside, I can't seem to get rid of that thin film that comes back after 2 days, tries so many products, tried a dash mat,
cars only 8 years old, sot sure why it's so bad in this Corolla
