      Click on the shaded box, NOT the box showing the game as it will direct you to Steam. Click on "Claim giveaway". Log in. Click on "massive Giveaway" on left side if necessary. Then click "Claim free game".

      I just tried it. It is definitely FREE. Still.

      @nicksinternet: Even if it was expired now, it is invalid to neg a freebie just because it has expired. But this one is not. Maybe try a different browser or ask someone to help you.
      Just tested it - it is free!

      The reviews for the game might be bad but free is free.

          Maybe you would care to read a little bit. It is really obvious if you just read the box. Plus, this has been the case on every IG giveaway, and I have posted quite a few. The fact that very, very few people have issues with it should give you a clue.

          You click on a picture that clearly states "View the game on Steam" - you then leave the IG page.

          I have not posted a deal for Steam, but IG. Then you wonder why the price is different.

          And you do not read what is next to the box which clearly states FREE.

          So, be precise. For God's sake, just admit you handled it badly and done. Lesson learned and it won't happen again as now you know.

        Yes, really, that's what people are doing.

        It's an early access game that has mostly negative reviews (i.e. Not good) and has not been updated in over 2 years! Even if it was free, negging for it being a bad abandoned/unfinished game.

          I have to admit I am new, and this is my first ever neg, but it seems to fall under the defective product reasoning given in the guidelines. Again I stated it wasn't for the fact it isn't free, it's the fact that it is abandoned, unfinished, bad reviews (buggy etc) that I negged.

          You really should put your updated instructions on the original too.

          A) Since you have not tried it you do not know if it is defective. You are going by what some other people have written for whatever reason.

          B) I am not one for babying people. I have posted quite a few of these deals and the older ones have instructions. Miraculously, as the people on OZB are not stupid and can read it works without them, too as it has always been the same for IG freebies.

          C) It is not even a problem if someone cannot do it. What I have a big problem with is the aggressive approach, negging before asking, and then not having the balls to say "My mistake, clicked too fast or Did not read proeperly etc.). And the fact that there is no self-evaluation - why do you think there are other people upvoting - if it was indeed as you stated, everyone would be downvoting and that would be justified.

          The product is not defective, the post is for the giveaway itself which is a good deal, all you need to do is click a link and get a free steam code. Operator error or not liking the content is not a valid reason to neg a deal.

        The box has a social media box completely obscuring it on my phone, have to click the X to close it before the box underneath is visible.
        That is why people are having problems finding it.

          I understand that people see different things but it is simply not possible to test the page on every device a user might use to look at the deal.
          Even on my $19 Android phone I can scroll down, read the instructions, and get the game.
          The crux of the matter is that certain people did not take 5 seconds to read the whole post, quickly clicked on the picture, did not realise that they were in Steam (that in itself though is pretty hard not to notice) rather than IG, and then they quickly made a comment slagging the post under the guise of helping the OZB community, completely ignoring the other people upvoting because they did get the game for free.

          Had they asked for help or clarification I would have been more than happy to provide it. But I don't take too kindly to them starting to attack just because they are doing something wrong.
          All I ask for is common manners and courtesy. Most people on OZB have that and hence I do not think it is too much to ask.

          I hope that clarifies it a bit. Thank you for your input. I wish you a pleasant Sunday and hope you got the game before it expired.

    I find it great that it is very often the people who contribute little to posting deals seem to be the most entitled and also quite aggressive in their approach, even when they are the ones making the mistake through non-reading what they click on. ;-)

    Edit if OP has properly informed people to look at the bottom of the screen it shows as free, but if you search it shows $12.99

        For the majority of most people didnt see it hidden behind the grey box (as the website is terrible) and searched for it above as you had such a poor description on how to claim it and got butthurt when you didnt explain yourself properly.

        IF you had just said: On the bottom of this page (in the link) there is a shaded box click it and the game is free,

        you are being way too aggressive.

          I think you are wrong about the majority of people. Look at the profile of the three people who have problems with this - can you find the common thread?
          Most people know how to scroll and read. And even on your screenshot the 'Grab a FREE key…" is visible.

          You do not seriously ask me to write: "Click on link. Use your mouse wheel or if you do not have one, the down arrow on the right hand bar to scroll down. Move your mouse onto the x on the shaded box. If on PC, click the left mouse button…." I think you get the idea.

          Mate, it is not the majority. You guys are in the minority. Lots and lots of people managed to get freebies from IG without a problem. In case, you have not noticed, I posted a few of those in the past, and the absolute majority had no issues with this.

          Also, what I said to MadoxNet and what scab said is still valid:

          If you have an issue, ask nicely and you will be helped but don't go around negging and throwing around accusations.

          Also: think about why the other people upvote! Are they stupid? That should give you a clue.

          You are funny. As I said, if someone asks before shooting all is fine. Making a mistake and then negging and attacking the poster is not acceptable. Even less so when it is clear that the post is real as other people keep upvoting and state they get it for free.
          The three did not do that and insist on perpetuating their aggression, some longer than others.

          In your case, you don't see it because it expired so a very different issue.

          If you ask nicely, anybody on OZB will probably be very willing to help.

          Well, all negs were inavlid. The first neg happened because the negger did not read and do his/her checks.

          So, again, his/her mistake for being so "neg-happy". Ask first, then neg.

          As I said, the fact he/she clicked on something and was taken to Steam should have been a huge hint it was not done properly.

          I do expect basic manners, courtesy, and intelligence from people as that is what people get to expect from me - that is how my parents raised me I am afraid.

          Nobody attacked you, the only attacking that started came from yourself. What Land of Smeg is saying is 100% spot on.

          Its nothing personal at all, lots of people, myself included, found the deal not as was posted. If it was our mistake (multiple people) then it wasn't clear, that's all. You took it very personal.

          Had you simply pointed it out, made the OP clear, all would have been resolved and neg votes removed. Instead you got hyper defensive and resulted in an us vs them thread.
