    Made in Malaysia.

    • You don't approve?

    • Processed in Malaysia from what I can only assume would be imported oils

    This oil is extremely bad for your health. There are better choices

      Such as?

      • +1

        rice bran oil for cooking , takes heat better than many others and doesn’t turn to varnish, canola and many other oils form almost like a “gum” when heated over a period of time, notice it most on edges of frypans ….no such issues with rice bran oil.

        yes i own a deep fryer at home….know of a few fish shops that use rice bran oil as a diffentiator to those that use canola based oild.

        in its cold form olive oil for salads and and dressings.

    • Which oil are you referring to - vegetable, sunflower, canola - or all of them?

    • +1

      How about olive oil? Or what oil do you suggest..
      Most of my life I used Sunflower Oil..

      • -2

        Olive oil doesn't handle high temperature well but all the others have high level of saturated fat. Coconut oil is a lot more expensive but it's a whole better.

        • +4

          I have a bottle of coconut oil, the label says 77.92 grams of saturated fat per 100ml.
          The label of my sunflower oil says 9.8 grams of saturated fat per 100 ml.
          The label of my extra vergin olive oil says 13.9 grams of saturated fat per 100 ml.
          Please be informed before writing such things

        • @Laziofogna:

          Trans fats will kill you though.

        • +4

          @Laziofogna: saturated fat isn't the devil it has been made to be. Perhaps you should do some more research and be more informed yourself.

        • I use olive oil for normal stir fry and Rice Bran oil for steaks. Any comments on those? Never tried coconut oil.

        • @D3AB: yep trans fats are very bad for you ….the fda has limits on trans fats in the usa in foods hence their corn chips are cooked in corn or sunflower oils ….. ours cc and doritos are cooked in palm oil ….you wouldn’t be allowed to sell or cc or doritos in the usa.

        • @pranksta:
          Sunflower oil has 0.6 gr trans fat per 100 ml;
          Extra vergin olive oil less than 0.1 trans fat gr per 100 ml;
          Coconut oil 0 gr trans fat per 100 ml.
          Data comes from the label not from paranoia.
          The difference is so small that only food terrorists can lose sleep about it.

    Was it really $20? You can usually get Rice Bran Oil for this price all the time. Why bother with Canola?

    • +1

      woolies ….4 litre of rice bran oil $12 all the time ….coles 3 litre $9 so same cost per litre.

    I think its good to try a variety of oil in cooking.

    Usually goes for $9 every second week. I don't remember paying more than $9 for it.
