  • This is amazing. But still too much money for me.

I just want an Amazfit BIP for $50~60 again…. FFS this is frustrating.

    • I run with an Amazfit Bip. Great little watch that you can wear all the time with weeks of battery life. However for those who are serious in measuring their performance, I don't think Bip is adequate. The worst bit is actually MiFit that's buggy and unable to export any activity data, making 3rd party apps such as Notify & Fitness for Amazfit pretty much mandatory.

I reckon you'd be really trim and aerodynamic when you ran.

I actually want it for notifications and calls only. 'New Pebble' if you will.
I'll be using it with GadgetBridge.
I just need a deal, it's hard, money doesn't flow freely for gimmicks atm.

        • I'm in a similar position, Amazfit Bip looks interesting but seems to lack music controls which is unfortunate. Any other devices you're considering?

@3: With Notify & Fitness you can bind button presses on Amazfit Bip for Next/Prev tracks. Not ideal, but works.

  • are these the same size as the forerunner 235?

edit: yep. identical body it seems

  • Review here: https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2016/06/garmin-forerunner-735xt-…

Essentially most of the features of the old FR920XT in a Forerunner size package, with wrist HR, but no barometer or quick release kit. Good pricing for mine, and at 41 grams very light for the features.

    • No CIQ3.0 for the 735XT. I don't know much about CIQ but these watches are starting to be like mobile phones where you have to keep updating the OS for the apps to work? Garmin seem to stop firmware updating older models way sooner than other brands.
