  • These powerful enough to dry a car after washing?

    • +4

Yes. I also use mine to blow out the interior rather than vacuuming.

      • Hey stumo is your one the same one? Does the battery last long enough to dry off a car (with opticoat) because I was looking at this recently vs a corded one…

        • +1

Mine is one model older. If you use the 4 or 5Ah pack you get 30 mins runtime. With the smaller pack this comes with I'd say 15 mins. The bigger pack runs it noticeably better though.

I misread car as cat :/

        you see what you want.

        .

  • Got this two weeks ago. Good value for the battery, charger, skin and got an inflator/compressor skin at the same time. It is not powerful but good enough to clean the garage and the driveway. Don’t know about during the car, haven’t tried it.

    • was the inflator this one - if so, what's your thoughts/opinion on it? Been thinking of grabbing one (never seen it reduced though).

      • They are really good. Easy to fill up car tyres accurately or inflatable things for the kids etc. My only worry is that some day the hoses will break. Yep the problem with this range is that they are unlikely to get discounted.

      • I got one of them. Its quite good especially at filling air mattresses or beach floaties (the giant whale my kids bought would have taken an hour to pump by mouth but this allowed me to fill it up in the car park in about 5-10 minutes). I love the portability. I even used it to pump up my bike tyres to 95 psi! Unfortunately I find its not calibrated properly when filling up car tyres. It needs to be set to a desired pressure and once it starts it will continue to inflate until it hits the pressure specified. But I find it cuts out too early and the pressure drops by 1-2 psi a few seconds after its stopped. Then I need to run it again to bring it up again. I have confirmed with a separate PSI meter that its too low. The fix is to add 1-2 PSI to your desired amount. I still recommend it even thought its priced high in my opinion.

Finally an affordable and useful thing I can buy to get a battery\charger, to warrant the purchase of an impact wrench!

  • +2

Note that this is the cheaper version of battery i.e no battery level indicator

  • The 2ah battery is weak. Spend a bit more for the 5ah battery.

    • How long will the 2ah battery last?

      • Approx 2 amp hours ;)

      • OP said 18mins use or do you mean before it dies completely and needs to be replaced?

        • The unit isnt that powerful which means it will not draw as much power as the other two blower units

  • +1

I got the blower and 5ah battery kit like a year ago for this price. However its not the jet blower. Whats the difference?

    • I looked into it because I also have the older one. The difference s this one pumps more air, but not faster. So htey are probably similar performance. There appear to be 2 different "Jet" blowers in the range too. The one here seems to be the lower spec one.

I just wanted a brushless one, but not yet it seems.

    • This is not as powerful as the 5ah pack that you would of purchased. The 5ah battery is $145 at bunnings on its own

  • +1

That is standard price for new model but not as powerful for the other two models released, which is why its cheaper

  • Got one. Works great.
