  • This is a great deal right?

    • Yes. The greatest.

      • You're the best, around!

      • Reviews seem good.

  • Cheers!

Just bought one then as it says there's 3 currently in stock. Used the AMAZON20 code as well to replace an old Samsung 1080P so now it won't be all weird with dual screens as my 27" 1440P was cutting off things going onto my 1080P secondary screen.

I have the 27" (2560 x 1440) version of this monitor (not the 27" 1080p version listed above) and can say that it's a great monitor. I use it for CAD/3D work and REC 709 with 10 bit color does the job very nicely.

  • Any good for Gaming?

    • depends. 5ms response time is decent and so is the inclusion of QHD and IPS panel at this price. Trade of seems to be the 60 Hz limitation. Also is 5ms response time game breaking for you or not. Some factors to consider

    • For gaming your priority should be 120hz+ refresh rate, everything else is secondary.

      • depends on what game you are playing. fps games like csgo could benefit from 120hz+ refresh rate but if you are playing single player story games like witcher 3, hz doesn't matter as much. Only invest in a 120hz+ refresh rate if you need it or really want it, otherwise you'll never be able to switch back to 60hz, everything just feels like crap and honestly it might ruin your experience if you can't run games on the fps required to utilise the hz.

Just created an OZBargain acc to say THANK YOU!!!! Just ordered my BenQ BL2420PT Monitor for $229 with FREE Expedited Delivery for new Amazon Prime users.

So $399 > $249 - extra $20 off for new Amazon customers using code AMAZON20. Best deal i could find for this was about $360 on eBay using 20% off codes, so this deal is pretty amazing :-)

SUPER happy to get this deal because my ASUS PROart PA246Q monitor just died and I need another monitor to edit photography and do design work. Really looking forward to the upgrade from 1920x1200 to 2560x1440 (2k).

For those who are looking at this for a gaming monitor, it is not. It's a design, CAD, photography monitor. It has 2k resolution with 100% sRGB but the reason it is not a gaming monitor is that is a slow 5ms and 60Hz. As others have suggested you want something like 1-2ms and +120Hz. You can play games on a 5ms monitor but it just won't be as sharp when moving around and for twitch type games, FPS, you want the screen to be as sharp as possible when panning your view around.
