      It's over 2 years old, maybe a new one is coming soon? It appears to be the same gen tech as the Fenix 3.

        They did the same thing late last year when the Forerunner 235 came down in price significantly, just because they were releasing a new model. That was around 50% off everywhere.

        This seems like a really good buy by comparison, I'd buy one if I didn't have the 235.

        p.s. buy a glass screen protector immediately (or 10). Cheap as chips on ebay but definitely worth it to keep your watch looking pristine because it's super easy to scratch.

          I have glass on mine but I wonder if the plastic screen protectors might be better? Scratches on my tempered glass take chunks off and leave a rough edge whereas I'm hoping plastic ones will just have scratches on the protector.

        Wouldnt the Forerunner 935 be considered the replacement of 735? It is using the Fenix 5 tech.

        And these are soon to be replaced with Fenix 6 and its derivations.

        no, you can put it back =) turns out it's a deal price, which is only valid for first 100 orders a day. Anyway, I got rebels to price match it, no questions asked, can provide a receipt if needed =) so thanks a million for the post. Got the last on off the shelf for $280.

          @Degn: Just walked in to my local Rebel store, asked them if they're gonna match the price on Amazon.au, they said "sure, with delivery cost added", I showed them the product page with the price of $279 and FREE DELIVERY, so they just sold me the watch for $280 =)
          And then I called my friend who just bought the same watch last week for $350, he rushed to the store and they refunded him the difference as well =)
          Now Rebel got themselves two loyal and happy customers ;)

          @kevmi: thanks for that…i just called up 3 rebel stores and they said they cant match based on a receipt. :-( they can do external price match and not internal, they say !!

    i've got the forerunner 935, great watch!
    Previously had the forerunner 235.
    Garmin produce great watches.

      Not all Garmin watches are great. e.g. The Vivoactive 3 and 645 look great but are unreliable due to the buggy firmware.
