      Buying a second insurance policy is still buying a new policy. If you initiate from online policy manager (which is an option), you are already an existing customer :)

  Good luck if your are unfortunate enough to claim with this mob.
  We had a travel insurance claim that was only finalised after 5 months of correspondence and only then we had to refer to the phone conversations (recorded), providing us with contradicting information to the claims department and there PDS.
  Cheap and nasty - for a reason.

  I called and spoke to their consultant who said new customers would be eligible..which i am. He gave me option to sign up over the phone or online. I signed up online just now and as i'm on chat with a consultant to make sure i get the promotion, after 15 minutes of waiting, he says i'm not eligible and it's only for existing customers.

  I guess the others above have warned you of the dodginess. I've been with them for less than an hour and can see it already.
