I think this cam is very touchy when it comes to the default G-sensor setting. I bought a different Gator cam a while back and I noticed the default settings made it write protect every speed bump and pothole video which ended up filling the memory card up quickly and reduces the loop recording. So it might be an idea to check and change the g-sensor or turn it off if you get that problem.

  Old phone, well SG S5 and dash cam app, works great, plus keep it plugged in to stay charged, when you leave the car it runs on its battery if want to leave it running Caroo cam app
