I'm whipping myself with cable-ties as we speak…

  • How do you use the 24 hour subdial? It doesn't seem to have any markings? I suppose it mostly just indicates whether it's AM or PM?

    • Oh so that's what it is. I stupidly thought it was 24 hours of power reserve :/

      • lol, did you leave it out to charge until it hit 24hours?

      • Me too :-}

I mistook it for a charging indicator at first… It is indicating 12 noon when pointing directly down at the "6 o-clock" position. It may seem pointless to some, but a lot quicker to parse for [say] shift-workers waking at ~ 7:15 when it is dusk both ends. The Red marked zone is 6:00 to 18:00, with the divisions being 1 hour markers.

      • Thanks that explains it. So the needle does a full 360 degrees and will be in the red zone from roughly dawn to dusk. But are you sure it's not dusk to dawn and the "6 O-clock" position is marking midnight?

        • It may depend on it's position when you first [or later] set the date. I adjusted by setting the date to the previous day, then advancing the time until it clicked over and then past "12:00" once more to set an afternoon time. Given that the hour markings are in the red zone, and may be a bit harder to see at night, and the "noon" position is halfway around [in a "half past" sense] it seems more natural that it is the day indicator.

12 of one and a dozen of the other really…

  • Ah fudge, just ordered, but forgot to apply the code. Oops

    Still a good deal though

  • Only 5½ hours left people! Why not make an offer before applying the code! Friday or earlier delivery is very likely with this vendor.

  • Woah i've always wanted a black & orange watch complete with nylon strap and even a feature that tells me what day it is!

    The future is here!

    • "black & orange watch"

The big advantage is that insect predators see it as poisonous, so you are safe from giant cockroaches and noisy miners.

  • What’s everyone’s thoughts on fabric versus metal strap… any issues with sweat building up in the band, wash regularly?

    • It's leather lined, the only annoyance to get used to is the fabric loops for the through strap…

Watch has arrived, a lot nicer than I expected. For $100 it's a real bargain.

      Cheers OP!

      • Watch is a beauty!

Mine arrived last Friday and have been wearing it through the weekend.

It was smaller than what I thought a 46mm would. Have some 45mm dress watches that feel slightly bigger.
