Terms & Conditions

Offer valid for new and existing users only upon entering the code CBRGOCATCH.

The 25% rebate is applied as credit to your GoCatch account for all rides until 11:59pm 30 June 2018. This Rebate Offer is valid for on-demand trips and Advance Bookings in a GoCatch Economy, Taxi, Maxi or Premium excluding payments outside of the GoCatch App including, but not limited to, Taxi jobs with external payments, cash, EFTPOS, or Cabcharge. The 25% rebate is calculated from the paid fare value of the trip, less credit used on the trip, tips, tolls, levies, and surcharges. The trip must occur between 7:30am Tuesday 29 May 2018 and 11:59pm Saturday 30 June 2018 to be eligible for the 25% credit rebate. Trips occurring outside this period will not be eligible. Any promotional or voucher credit applied to a trip will be deducted from the fare value when calculating the 50% rebate. This offer ends 11:59pm Saturday 30 June 2018.

$20 credit valid from 7:30am Tuesday 29 May 2018 until 11:59pm Saturday 30 June 2018. Credit can only be redeemed with on-demand trips and Advance Bookings in a GoCatch Economy, Taxi, Maxi or Premium excluding payments outside of the GoCatch App including, but not limited to, Taxi jobs with external payments, cash, EFTPOS, or Cabcharge. Passenger must have entered a Credit/Debit card, PayPal account, Android Pay account, or Apple Pay account as a saved payment method in the GoCatch app. If the total fare is greater than $20, the remaining balance will be charged to the nominated payment method. Any unused credit will be forfeited.

    About 10 minutes ago i made an advanced booking through GoCatch and cancelled it straight away.

    Just got a call from GoCatch and they asked me why I cancelled my advanced booking and whether I want to reschedule it. Pretty creepy.

    Also, they use some really bad IP phones which cut in and out and you can barely hear them.

      I booked an economy once, and they "upgraded" me to a cab that was around 15km away (i was travelling 5km away), so cancelled and rebooked - this happened 5 times all up (with cars/cabs >15km away or no driver allocated) before i gave up and ubered.

      Woke up the next morning with 3 missed calls, an SMS and 5 pre-authorisations for estimated fare that didnt drop off for a week…

    Cool, but does this mob seem expensive? I sometimes get a rideshare to work as I can't get there early on weekend mornings via PT, so I usually get a Taxify ot Ola and it's around 11 bucks. This app quotes me 15-22! I'll still use the free rides but I can't work out what their fares are based on.

      They're fares are based on Sydney Uber prices. Uber charge less in every other city in Australia but GoCatch charge the same so they are usually more expensive unless you are in Sydney.

      Hi joedingy, no you don't. Once you've used the entirety of your voucher balance, the difference will be charged to your selected payment method.

    Awesome, thanks OP credits are great!
    I signed up this morning due to this deal, got a pre-booking for pick up at 6:50am, and phone call at 6:50am that we have cancelled your booking, please book through on demand. Kept trying that.. no drivers! Late to work by about 20 mins as I caught an Uber after GoCatch stuffed up.

    I was charged $17.34 for a ride when I was supposed to have $80 in voucher credit.

      I have experienced a similar issue.

      They also spam you with random vouchers if you sign in (eg. $3.32 credit) but don't tell you that it's for the first 20 people, so total waste of time there.

      Then there's the issues of no drivers available, and drivers cancelling.

      I also had my account suspended for no reason one day. They unlocked it and said they can't tell me why it happened for "security reasions". To this day, I do not know why.

      With Uber, OlaCabs and Taxify, we don't need these clowns.

      Same thing with me. Had $80 in credit. Was even looking at the credit screen as the driver approached and it was still showing $80.

      Ended up being charged to my PayPal and when I looked at my credit at the end of the trip, it was gone.

      Have revoked my positive vote.

    I had $80 in vouchers yesterday and woke up to 0 nothing left. Dodgy and fishy on part of GoCatch. Beware everyone, it's a trap!

        You come on to this forum and all you do is cover your arse. No response to mine or the many other users who have been stuffed around - and I’m not talking about the promo codes.

        I used to be a huge advocate but have been burnt by the app pinging a taxi driver when requesting a rideshare.

        One time a cabbie asked me to pay the difference between the taxi fare and ride share after I reached my destination. I said take it up with GoCatch - he didn’t respond well and was quite aggressive towards me. I felt particularly unsafe as the destination was my home.

        Another time cabbie asked me same thing half way through my trip. I said I ordered a rideshare, so he pulled over immediately and told me to get out. I said it wasn’t my fault and that he should take it up with GoCatch. He also didn’t take kindly to that, so hopped out and ordered an Uber for my safety.

    did anyone have an issue where their voucher balance has dropped to $0? I had $10 balance, and I added the 3 voucher codes this morning which made my balance $70. Today afternoon this went back to $0. Dont know whats happening..

      All my credits have disappeared. If I try adding the vouchers it says it's already applied onto the account.

      I've had similar issues regarding referral credit vanishing in the past.
      Luckily I didn't touch this shit show of a deal myself.

    Wtf Mine credit also gone :( Sorry guys.. Do not know what happened wrong here.. Will be logging support case with Go catch .. Hoping that should be their system bug and rectify this issue.. Else they will be loosing all get OZB & other customers.

        If no response then plan B, I will do advanced booking and then cancel immediately so they will call me to follow up ( some user mentioned about them being creepy on follow up cancellation ) ;) and will CATCH them

          @GoCatch Official: Already did.. No response since morning & why wipe all balance ? No email or notification? people were charged for their first ride which could have been free.
          Also, It happened to everyone not one. Atleast, there should be minimum $40 credit (new users) as per your terms which you mentioned ( $20 referral + $20 for one code).. Isn't it ?

    Same has just happened to me. All my credits have vanished, even my reimbursement which had nothing to do with these vouchers!

    Same here. I initially signed up because of the promotion. I had $80 worth of credit but when I checked my account again this afternoon, all credit was gone. Because they bypassed PayPal (I don't know how they did it when I only provided them with my PayPal account!) and pre-authorised a charge on my credit card, I called GoCatch today but they never answered my call. I eventually called my CS hotline of my credit card to prepare for dispute.

    My advise is if you have booked in advance, make sure you cancel before your job is assigned to a driver so that they cannot charge a $10 cancellation fee. That's their word, not my word.

      Update: After cancelling my booking, a staff of GoCatch called me to offer $20 worth of credit, which I declined on principle. I am also concerned that they may bail on me just when I need the service most.

          Yea, I did and the staff said they had no idea about the $80 worth of credit being on offer. I wasn't gonna argue with them, instead I made it clear over the phone they cannot charge my credit card.

    Not trying to sound entitled, because $80 credit was honestly a little too generous to expect from a struggling uber competitor. But I can't help but feel more "baited and switched" than usual.

    Poorly thought out simultaneous promotions? Or an intentional way of getting more sign ups without actually having to give anything extra?

    They really screwed up by not providing an explanation, because now people have the chance to interpret it in the worst possible way.

        Upvote for actually mentioning my username in your reply. Look, copy and paste responses can be quite effective and time saving (e.g. an online customer service rep giving generic advice during a chat session). However, doing so in any public context (and especially on OzBargain) is only going to piss people off.

        It's just incredibly impersonal and insincere to see the same response posted again and again. If I were you, I'd either post a single response in the comments section that attempts to address everyone's concerns, or I'd at least send those generic responses as private messages to each individual.

        I don't envy you. I'd imagine that none of this fiasco is your fault, and you're just the unlucky person who has been tasked with cleaning it up. But I feel the need to stress that, right now you're only making things worse, and that means that you're not doing your job well. I'm not talking about GoCatch, I'm talking about you as a representative.

        P.S. I'm not trying to insult you, it just seems like GoCatch might not be around forever, and I personally wouldn't hire you =)

    I booked a trip to the airport in advance, credits were showing as $60 on my account. Trip finalised only to be charged $35 to my credit card.

    Credits have disappeared without notice. My husband's referral $20 (signed up for account yesterday) are also missing.

    Lodged a ticket to GoCatch… will advise. Not happy Jan!
