It seems like there are a few server issues when redeeming, I recommend opening the link and waiting 2-3 mins, it will load the form.

Description:

Carve a path of destruction through the battlefield fighting for guts, glory, and survival in For Honor™, a new melee action game developed by Ubisoft Montreal in collaboration with other Ubisoft studios.

Enter the chaos of a raging war as a Knight, Viking, or Samurai, three of the greatest warrior legacies. For Honor is a fast-paced and immersive experience, mixing skill with visceral, never-before-seen melee combat.

The Art of Battle, the game’s innovative control system, puts you in total control of your heroes, each with distinct skills and weapons, as you annihilate all soldiers, archers, and opposing heroes who stand in your way on an intense, believable battleground.

For Honor offers an engaging campaign and thrilling multiplayer. Enjoy the full experience online with friends or solo against AI.

UNIQUE WARRIORS TO MASTER

Choose your favorite warrior among 12 unique Heroes including deadly Knights, brutal Vikings, and cold-blooded Samurai. Able to turn the tide of battle and make their faction victorious, each Hero comes with his or her own weapon set and combat style. Express your personality and inspire fear in your enemies by customizing each facet of your warrior, including your chest, shoulders, helmet, and weapon.

MEMORABLE STORY CAMPAIGN

The memorable story campaign is a tale of warriors in which you will embody Heroes of all three factions. Storming castles and fortresses, making the difference in massive battles, and confronting deadly bosses in intense duels, you will need all your wits and skills to ensure the survival of your people and foil the plans of the merciless and bloodthirsty warlord, Apollyon.

GROUNDBREAKING MULTIPLAYER

The 5 groundbreaking multiplayer modes will test your skill and take your adrenaline to the next level. In Dominion, Skirmish and Elimination, plunge in the heart of battle with your band of warriors, coordinate and communicate to claim victory as you support your allies, slaughter enemies, and own the battlefield. In Brawl and in Duel, face your opponents in intense and brutal fights where your combat skills will make the difference between life and death.

INNOVATIVE ART OF BATTLE CONTROL SYSTEM

Wield the weight of your weapon and feel the power and impact of every strike. Precise and accessible, the Art of Battle system has been designed with the objective of putting you in total control of your combat moves.

Big Thanks and Credit to kilrah @ HUKD or the starter finder find and description below

The For Honor Starter Edition provides access to the full game, story mode and all PVP modes, with a different system for unlocking heroes.

The main difference is in hero availability and unlocking. In the Starter Edition: 3 Vanguard heroes are fully unlocked from the beginning - they are playable and customisable.
9 other heroes are not recruited:

  • the 3 heroes of your chosen faction will be playable but not customisable
  • the 6 remaining heroes can only be played in practice mode
  • All other heroes are locked - they can be played only in practice mode.

You can recruit all standard heroes that are not fully unlocked from the beginning for 8000 Steel each. Alternatively, you can unlock all standard heroes at once with the All Heroes Bundle which can be purchased for 50,000 Steel on the in-game store.

The Starter Edition will be available as digital version for PC only. It is fully compatible with the Season Pass and existing DLCs, meaning you'll be able to expand your game at any time if you wish. Additionally, the Starter Edition is compatible with all other game versions in multiplayer modes: owners of the Starter Edition can play with all other players on PC regardless of the their respective game editions.

This is a full game which will be added to your library, forever you will not lose access after the 19th of June.

As always, enjoy!

  • Thanks op!

  • Did you get this up before it was even announced on the press conference stream haha

    • +4

I found it on HUKD lol, they must have! Sneaky british people.

  • The Crew 2 Open beta is also available to pre-load for free and play from 21st of June I believe.

    • I gave this a shot, but didn't get much enjoyment out of the base gameplay. Driving the vehicles just didn't feel fun, though I can't pinpoint which aspect I didn't like.

One thing I found odd was the game seemed locked at 30FPS. Maybe that was part of the problem.

    • Handover your Desktop to me

    • Friends don't let friends play console.

  • Sweet. Try out finally

  • Form/page isn't loading for me, have tried refreshing after five minutes and even excluding the site in AdBlock.

    • Hmm I just tried it then and it works fine for me still, have you tried on mobile?

      • That worked, cheers!

        • Awesome :)

    • I have no problem

    • Works fine with uBO, just need to allow third-party cookie.

  • I really enjoyed the For Honor gameplay, but its release was plagued with outages, lag and disconnects.

I re-installed a few months ago and couldn't find a game, not sure if the population has recovered since.

    • Maybe this is a way to repopulate the game?

  • Redeemed the game through the web site link and shows up fine in the UPLAY app.

You can also search for "For Honor Starter Edition" in UPLAY app Store tab to get the free/$22.95 starter addition.

Or in uPlay on your PC just scroll down the Games page to the "Free Games" section.

For some reason the search didn't work for me (it went to a full copy of For Honor instead with no option to DL) so I went that other option I mentioned.

      • You need to search for "for honor starter edition". Searching for just "for honor" brings up only the paid editions.

  • Probably never going to play it, but got it anyway.

  • Cheers. I almost bought this on Xbox yesterday from the buy 1 get 1 free sale on amazon

  • +1

has anyone ever receeved the right to withdraw message when installing Uplay Games.

saying that once you install a game, that you lose your right of withdrawal from the contract

    • +3

That just means you cannot refund. Probably not legal but they try anyway in their terms and conditions.

If the product you receive is defective, you can refund no matter what the terms and conditions state as the law fortunately trumps the T&Cs of a company.

  • Nice find. Thanks doweyy. Finally get to try to the game.

  • +4

Is this a similar situation to the re-vamp of rainbow six?

If so its probably a good idea to consider getting the full game ($15 for PC at EB) so you can progress without an insane grind

    • -1

Nah this game sucks and is dead - so starter is the way friend.

  • Thanks OP.

  • +1

Probably cause a player won a tournament ($12,000) last year for using a bug they haven't fixed since launch.

  • +3

It was easier to get the game through the UPlay client than the half broken web site. Start UPlay, go to the News panel and the one-click link is near the top. Launching UPlay and claiming the game were instant.

    • It worked for me just fine through the web site a few hours ago.

  • +1

    Is the campaign interesting/worth it?
    edit : nvm it's 52gb (profanity) that

  • Thanks for the freebie. Not sure if I like it but its free so will try anyway.

  • Looks like I already own a copy of the full game. No idea when or where I got it. 60GB is a bit much…

  • Even downloaded at 60/70 MB/s, this game takes a while to download… I can’t imagine what it’s like on the state of the art 100Mbps or the standard 25Mbps offered by the NBN.

    • We still running ADSL2+ shared with 5 'adults'
By the time this game downloaded I would be 6 feet under the ground.

    • +1

We are still in the stone age here mate.

Download rate as I'm typing 159kb/s and I'm happy it's not lower than that.

Gotta be content with what you have!

    • Took my just over an hour to download about 50gb with my NBN 100mbps.

      • Mine took 10 mins but I only played 10 mins and was still in the training. Graphics look great on 4K tho.

  • really good game

  • Have they fixed the online server lags and disconnections yet ?

  • great looking game. played the training last night. controls look like theyre the most difficult thing. 8000 credits to unlock another character, and you get 2000 credits after you finish the training. not sure how long it will take to build up.
i'll play the campaign, and hopefully with a few friends we can do some coop

  • Oh, wow! Amazing share, glad to see For Honor getting a bigger Playerbase.
Thank you very much for sharing OP!

  • yay free game to ad to my games waiting list. Thanks OP
