  Anyone have any idea how this would perform sound quality and volume wise against the UE boom 2? There's never RMS specs on these things it seems.

    I actually bought it because of that feature. I have filled the SD card with music I had collected over the years and play it.
    I can take calls without the music getting stopped during social gatherings but still have Bluetooth functionality.
    Each one of us have their reasons.

  Looking for a speaker like this so I'm very tempted for the price, but a few reviews online say that while sound quality is good, the battery life is absolutely rubbish. Might just have to wait for something else.

    I am not sure about that. In in-built MP3 mode I get around 10 hours and with bluetooth around 7-8 hours so far.

      That would be great and that's what I'd hope for. A few reviews seem to say after about a year they're lucky to get 2 or 3 hours out of it. How long have you had yours for?

  bought an Anker soundcore via Oz b last year but lost it. been looking for a sub $50 speaker recently.
  the Micro sd slot interests me. don't have to bother with linking and can just change files now and again.

  Thanks Bippz01 incredible price considering they retail for $249.95 …..maybe they have not sold as well as Creative hoped and now are offloading stock !
  I have the Logitech UE Megaboom so it will interesting to compare as they both retailed about the same price, I like Creative Soundcards & would like the X7 if that was cheap ;)
