Sony SLBG1B 128GB Aluminium External Portable SSD - Black
Model: SLBG1B

Description:
Small enough to fit in your pocket

This stylish external solid-state drive is smaller than a credit card. Its ultra-compact, portable design weighs just 35g and is only 9.4mm thick – making it the perfect size for almost any bag or pocket. The durable brushed aluminium finish is available in a choice of either black or silver, so it’s bound to impress friends and colleagues alike.

128GB of storage capacity

Keep your precious files safe and secure with 128GB of storage – that’s enough room to store and organise your photos, videos, music, and more. And with added security protection built in, it truly is the safer, easier way to manage your data.

Reliable build for safe file storage

By utilising flash memory – just like a USB stick – which generates less heat, solid-state drives can deliver faster, more reliable performance than conventional external hard drives. And with no moveable parts featuring in their design, the chances of a mechanical breakdown are also significantly reduced – so you can be confident all of your files will remain safe and secure.

Seems expensive, the Samsung one would prob be a better one for value.
Or the SANDISK EXTREME GO 128GB which is usually $70 would probably be better due to smaller form factor.

  • Would anyone know the use-case for this compared to a 128GB USB3.0 thumbdrive?

    • +1

The read and write speeds will easily be higher than a thumbdrive if that is useful in your use case scenario. Because of this it will increase the overall general performance of things stored on it. For example, if you have a game that's large like GTA V, it'll significantly cut down the load time or if you're video editing and want to export straight to your SSD.

      Isn’t it $79 min spend?

      • Yeah your right 2 for 120 then or get something else to bridge the gap. Speed says Transfer Rate Max. 5Gbps
