edit Just spoke to Virgin Australia phone support (13 18 75). The person had never heard of V-Mail and it took them a few minutes to find details of the promotion. I said I haven't got the points yet but I have received an email asking me to set a password for the account. Their website doesn't allow me to set a password though and says its a one time link only and to use the Forgot Your Password option. The email sent out from that option also immediately displays the "one time use only message and this link is no longer valid" message which prevents me setting a password. I'm still on hold 14 minutes into this call to reset my password. Anyway the important thing is the woman on the phone said the offer is targetted - but given what she knew initially and the amount of difficulty I'm having trying to get in on the promo I would take the advice that it is targetted with a grain of salt

Anyway they finally said it might take up to 6 weeks for the points to show up so I guess this will expire before we get confirmation as to who it worked for.

It does take up to thirty days or six weeks or something. What I do is keep the e-mail mentioning the bonus points until I receive the bonus points, then delete the e-mail
