      It doesn't. Block the permission and if you can't play without giving it then uninstall the app and leave a 1 star review on GP.

      at a guess, because it's also available on steam for $4.99 US, probably so saved games can be sync'd or something (speculating).

      That's how the make money. They sell your browsing data to marketers and advertisers so they can target their ads at you. The rule requiring them to gain your consent before doing so was revoked last year.

      You'd think ozbargainers would be a bit more clued in about these things. People seem to keep falling for it though.

      So I installed it, and at the start it did say it would need my call information and wifi information. When I went into the permissions settings in the app it simply said storage.

      I uninstalled it.

    Would encourage you to read the most recent comments of the game on Google Play before buying. Looks like it has not aged well.

      I would say "reviews variable read before install". A few seemingly say "needs more work". Don't know if prog has been upgraded by dev.
