Was shopping for this and best price I negotiated to was $660 from RRP$849 (market price is ~$700). I was told by multiple stores that $500 was far below cost yet here it is at $498.85.

With $50 eftpos cash back, this brings the effective price down to $458.80 shipped.

Express and insured shipping for $14.95 or standard at $9.95, flat rate Australia wide.

Not much choice (or none at all) for a ~50mm macro E mount full frame 1:1 but I've tried it and it's decent.

  While the, "sorry, that would be below our cost" line is standard salesperson BS, Sony are running heavy promotions at the moment which has likely seen the wholesale price of certain lines take a dip.

  Which means it pays more than ever to shop around to see who is passing the saving on.
