Corsair Void Pro Wireless RGB Gaming Headset $110.09 @ PC BYTE eBay

70
PIZZAZZ

Seems like a really good price for it. In the latest JB HiFi Catalogue they are advertising these for $199 as part of their gaming sale: https://catalogue.jbhifi.com.au/2018/06/04-june-games-cat/in…

There's the Special Edition yellow version for a few dollars more also:

I have this and it's awesome! Only real downside is that it sits a bit more loose on the head so if you were to constantly move your head all the way down it will start to go forward. Not an issue for gaming at all.

The Special Edition includes a fancy USB dock for the receiver. The same could be achieved with a USB extension cable.

    • Well now we know why the special edition costs a few more dollars!

Could you wear the Corsair all day and not feel any pain around the ears? Have you tried either the Logitech G930 or 933 and could give a few words comparing them to the Corsair?

I've been in the market for a new wireless headset for a while and leaning towards the G933 as it has bluetooth and also can be used with 3.5mm/RCA devices - a wireless headset for everything, not just the PC as the Corsair ones appear to be.

Although at this price, I'm considering getting a set as I already have plenty of wireless headphones - just not a set of 0 latency ones with decent audio that I can wear for more than a few hours without pain (Logitech H800 foam pads press on my ear, while I really like them they hurt after a few hours).

Oh and yellow naturally costs more too because it looks better.

I haven't tried the Logitechs as I came from wired Audiotechnia and other brands. The Corsair basically encloses the whole ear while others cover parts or sit ontop. I can wear them all day without pain. Probably for the first few days there was discomfort but that happens with any headset.

No 3.5mm/RCA in this is another big downside. Fortunately you can use it while charging via Micro USB.

        • ATH-M50? Do these come anywhere close to the sound quality? Are the Corsairs semi-open at all, can you hear your own voice when you put them on, or does it block out most of it like with the M50s (if you have them that is)?

I find any colour other than black to be a bit distracting on headphones - even the white on this set is pushing it for me :/

@c0balt: I had much cheaper than ATH-M50. I'd say the sound quality in these are average as Corsair have focused more attention to the wireless functionality. The virtual surround sound can make a noticeable difference for some things and there are customisable presets which certainly help with voices being clearer over the music in some movies.

You can hear your own voice and it does do a good job of blocking out sound.

I have a set of G933's and cant recommend them enough they are really comfortable for me and i have worn them for multiple hours at a time without problem. they are a firm fit but that does help cut out alot of outside noise. i can honestly recommend them

Hey C0balt just a heads up, im pretty sure the G933 does NOT have bluetooth. The only good wireless headset i know of with bluetooth is the SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless, but is very expensive…

        • True, damn! I don't know how I missed that.

Being able to switch between between USB wireless RF & Bluetooth has been included for a while in some of their non-gaming headsets. I rely on it to use the H800s between my phone and computer. I really thought that functionality would have been built into the top of the line G933, but it's not..

My perfect headset would be something like the H800 with actual earcups without breaking the bank. I actually got a set of Beats Solo 3 Wireless today from a electricity company change, but I was looking at selling them as from what I've been reading there's no aptx usb dongle that has 0 latency.

That link is for the wired version, not wireless.

  • Corsair HS70 is the new model which was released recently.

  • I bought this a few weeks ago for about $20 more and thought that was a great price. Definitely worth it.

Only issue is that Corsair customer service sucks and there is one issue that seems to never have been rectified. If you were to press a button on it whilst charging, it goes into boot mode and does not work… again. You can google it.

If you aren't one of the unlucky ones to get this issue, definitely a great headset. It does hang a little loose as @Clear mentions.

  • can the mic be detached?

    • No but it can be pushed up that automatically turns it off.

  • Thanks just in time I needed to replace my current ones.
