Thanks OP, signed up for me. Hopefully after gaining this diploma I can put it on my resume and start shooting models :D

  • lol this isnt as good as you think it is, you are just watching some power point presentation every week, there is no actual lecturer there. Its not even australian credited, its european or something, i may be wrong though. you can watch the videos online on youtube for free if someone has uploaded them

    • Do we get a diploma at the end??

I'll be framing mine if we do~~

I don't get this - the groupon lists the content as 8 lessons, which are the same as those listed in the Free module 1 from the esteemed Shaw Academy (as per the link from Xukinugo). In other words, is Groupon trying to flog me something for $5.95, they say is worth $395, when in fact it is free?

    • Yeah, I got this for free. Never did it though.

    Busted!!!

  • For five bucks ? Why not ?

because its normally free… also not a recognised RTO. You may as well knock up your own diploma in word.

If it helps, as the owner of a training company I can assure you this is not an Australian nationally recognised course. All courses in Aus require a course code consisting of numbers and letters. Eg Apply first aid - HLTAID003. Another example would be a business certificate would start with BSB…… etc.

If you are looking for nationally recognised training, you can search on myskills.gov.au. Only registered training organisations (RTOs) can deliver such. All RTOs have what's called an "RTO code". So if you are in doubt, ask what their code is. You can then confirm this via the national register, training.gov.au which lists all RTOs and nationally recognised training qualifications and units of competency. Hope this helps in any way.

These online courses are just another version of those shit e-books on sale on ebay.

  • These stupid pretend qualifications exist in the same realm as unenforceable private fines issued by security companies. That is, only to catch a bit of free money off people dumb enough to pay them.

Groupon is really scraping the bottom of the barrel to be pushing this shite.
