XIAOMI MIJIA Wiha 26 in 1 Screwdrivers Set Kit with Hidden Magazine Design for US $49.99/AU $68.56 @ Banggood

Can't help posting this because it looks so cool… Basically a Xiaomi Wiha version with very compact design and for bigger job than the precision ones the other is about.

Description from Banggood (more with pics on website):

The European variant of this amazing screwdriver has won a few awards including the Red Dot Award, IF Design Award, Stuttgart Design Award, and the 2018 German Design Award. So it doesn’t yield the 24-in-1 variant. Just know, the original variant costs £76.64, but you can get your hands on it for less money.

Features:

Xiaomi Wiha 26-in-1 Precision Screwdriver set comes with a unique design whereby the pieces are hidden inside the set and can pop up and retract when needed. This is definitely an upgrade over the previous model.

The screwdriver comes with an innovative pop-up window ad each other piece is manufactured using high-precision chrome vanadium steel that won’t go blunt easily.
It also features an ergonomic handle design which makes for ease of use, ensures maximum torque output and at the same time brings a comfortable grip while using. As for the handle, it comes in red and black and provides great ergonomics.

Not accidentally, the XIAOMI Wiha 26-in-1 Screwdrivers Set Kit is considered as the world’s best screwdriver. It comes with a unique design that hides the 26 pieces bits inside the set. So it can pop up and retract when needed. That’s why it is usually called Xiaomi Wiha 26-in-1 Precision Screwdriver.
But overseas it is known as Wiha new 77790 26-in-1 tradesman ultra driver (or something like that). Anyway, the screwdriver is made by using CNC precision molding process. There is also a retractable extension bar where each of the tips can be inserted and removed easily.

inb4 a $70 chinese screwdriver gets frontpaged due to the magic X word

      • +2

More likely it is because of Wiha. They are super exxy german tool brand (I think). In the scheme of things, this is cheap for Wiha and probably something that is designed for life.

Personally, I'll stick to my bunnings $10 set which I lose right after I use it once.

Please can someone enlighten me about why this is worth the money (serious question). My SCA one for under $2 is great. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/347616

      • If you use screwdrivers every day like I do, when the bits get worn they risk damaging the screws or bolts you are working on. I use Wera screwdrivers with laser cut tips and these things are worth their weight in gold for getting older worn screws out.

Doesn't look as cool as the normal one. Also wait a few months and price will go down

$70 for a set of Chinese screw drivers?

    • +1
      • Should have post it. Much cheaper

    • I think this model is not made by xiaomi, a true German made wiha. But it won't fit standard bits as far as I know.

  • I got 2 sets from amazon to replace aging and flaky belkin car vent.

I put a metal plate behind my wifes samsung case and my aftermarket case.

They didn't work very well. The magnet wasn't strong enough to hold the phone in place.

If you went over any bump in the road it would fall straight off.

It could be the case, but I think it would get pretty tedious taking the case off and on every time I get in the car.

I think if it was stuck directly to the back of the phone, then it would be better, but surely there are better solutions.

I can't recommend these. Maybe the Anker are better in this space?

    • I don't have the Blitzwolf one so can't speak for it, but I've got a Xiaomi and a no brander one(well, branded MK).
The xiaomi one is amazing even through a clear case, whilst the MK would fall off at the slightest of bumps

The magnet wasn't strong enough to hold the phone in place.

I had the same issue - try Spigen ones. They're more expensive (by about 5x, so my OzB licence probably should get suspended) but they use stronger (imho) neodymium magnets and even through a chunky Spigen case (so heavier, and with more distance separating holder and metal backplate), holds the phone with no issues of slipping or falling off.

      • +1

Haven't tried any of these cheaper ones, but can definitely recommend the Spigen one. It's currently holding my Sony XZ Premium in a rugged Spigen case without any issues.

  • Have one like this - if it fits your vents, I think it's one of the best/most versatile form factors for car phone mounts.

Only thing to be aware of is if you have a heavy phone (or a phone with a thick/chunky case), make sure the one you get is magnetically strong enough.

  • Bought 2off, give em a go.. Cheap enuff…

    Cheers OP..

  • Would that make difficult to use NfC?

    • Doesn't affect NFC on my S8 Plus, nor does it affect wireless charging.
I don't own this exact holder but it's very similar.

    • Not in my experience using a magnetic vent mount from another brand. The magnet is only on the holder, the only thing on your phone or in the phone case is a small metal plate. Doesn't affect NFC at all.

    • It affects my NFC - I totally remove it now since I upgraded to a new car with inbuilt Android Auto instead.

      • I've got Android Auto and it's handy at times but it screws my phone up at times. I'll pull over to use the browser and the phone will shit itself (S8 Plus) so I end up disconnecting it and then have to spend 5m reconnecting it as its a fussy little bugger.

  • Am I the only one who can't attach to a vent due to it overheating when the heater is on..? Was more tempted to get a dash mounted (3m sticker) option if anyone has a good suggestion. Thinking something like a Steelie

    • Yes I've got a dash mounted one (3m) it's called TIMC and I got it from the Japanese shop in the Westfield in Mt Gravatt.
It's never fell off and it has held an S8 Plus in my work ute all summer.

    • I tend not to use the heater much honestly - I like it because where before my phone would overheat in the sun, in front of the vent it gets cooled by the AC and hasn't overheated since.

      • This time of the year I'm using my heater going to work at 6am!

  • Had xiaomi one.
Not sure how these two compare. Xiaomi is working great with my moto and iPhone plus.
Even with a case. So will skip this deal unless others state this is equally good

    Price is deCent though.

  • I've got a Xiaomi Roidmi magnetic phone holder, I ordered this BlitzWolf BW-MH3 on 28 June 2018 and it arrived yesterday (ie 3 weeks).
I haven't installed it yet but the magnet which attaches to your vent seems stronger than the Roidmi but you can't tilt the BlitzWolf one towards you like you can the Roidmi.
