540
PICKSMITH

EDIT: NOT AU stock. Grey import. Thanks for the comments that point this out.

Cheapest for AU stock (Item location:Melbourne) so far, I believe. If you missed out on the $820 HK stock like I did, this could be helpful. Twilight and black are available at the time of posting.

First post and it has something to do with Dick. Says more about you than you might realise!

    You said don't go easy!

    • Cannot argue with the fact. Let's see if the trend continues.

      • Username checks out

Guys I have a free p20 pro case (nilkin black) if anyone wants. Pm me.
    Pickup Sydney CBD.

    • P20 Pro ships with a case.

Pretty sure these will be blocked by ASIO.

    • why

      • Many people say that Huawei, like every Chinese company, is beholden to the Communist Party and obliged to do whatever they ask. Like forwarding all of your SMSs, footy tips and selfies to China.

  • This is probably still grey imports and won't be eligible for TRS. The only advantage that the item location is in Aus is that you will receive it faster. I am not sure why twilight has a postage cost, while the black one does not.

    • Can you explain why this is bad? Its a great price for a phone. Whats eligible for TRS do?

    • +1

Item location is not in Australia. If it was then, Kogan would be liable for GST.
Item is actually coming from HK. Only warranty is availble with Kogan in Australia.

      • As it origin price is more than $1000, so it may contain GST, which you can claim for TRS.

I purchased a macbook pro from them last year, it came with tax invoice.

I love my P20 Pro. Awesome phone.

    get OnePlus 6 instead

    • +1

I am tossing up between these two but it seems incredibly hard to get the OnePlus 6 soon.

      • basically need to wait for two wks for Kogan (HK) to deliver your phone. But after disc at $750 it's a GREAT price for OnePlus 6.

You're getting top core specs, minimal "attached" apps, FULL screen, & without giving up the hype functions from P20 Pro

        • and a headphone jack ;)

      • +2

Both great phones. P20 Pro's camera is spectacular, if that's important to you get the P20 Pro otherwise save a few dollars and get the OnePlus 6

        • +1

          That and battery life

  • Is this AU stock or grey import?
I can't find any info on the eBay page.

    • +1

      Kogan only do grey imports.

    • Sorry it's actually grey import. See the comment from @Vishc90 below. I've edited the description.

    Brilliant phone, highly recommended

do not buy huawei product please. for the security of Australia

    • -1

      lol

    • The problem with Huawei is the language that their engineers use. It can make some vulnerabilities easier to exploit for Chinese reading hackers.

What Huawei is being accused of is easily detectable and provable. If they actually did anything, there would be logs.

Not AU stock. Contacted dick smith on eBay got a lengthy replying saying its imported but not worry blah blah… They also said they'll supply a "generic" charger. Now will this generic charger support Huawei's quick charge?

    • +1

Thank you for the info. I've updated the description.

      • Tracking shows item is shipped from Melbourne.

    • Damn. Was hoping to be AU stock as Kogan sells official AU product according to their website. The Dick Smith eBay item details clearly state "Super fast charger" is included in the box.

      • It does say super fast charger included but will it be HK one ?

Extract of reply from Dick Smith

        "What will be different?

Since all stock ultimately comes from the same factories, the main difference comes in the adapters for electronic devices we sell compared to those prepared for Australia.
If the device is an international model it may arrive with a different charger, however we will always provide an Australian compliant generic charger for local use."

        • +1

Checked with them again, the Australian adapter Dick Smith provides may not have the fast charging ability.

        • +1

@Vishc90: Oh dear! The phone arrived and…..it is AU stock including factory super fast charger. People misinformed on what was a good deal!

        • @campione10: Great news mate, have they listed the GST part separate!!, Would you be mind sharing few pics what's in the box etc… Cheers

        • @oOSmithOo:

GST listed separate and invoice is for full amount, not coupon discounted price. Box comes sealed and contains what is found in AU retail version, i.e. AU super fast charger, clear case and wired earphones with adaptor.

  • Awesome phone! Better than my Samsung S9+

  • Aust stock, says shipped from Melbourne.

  • Whats the downside of them being grey imports? Warranty included?

  • GST incoming buy now or pay the price?
