    I'll be away from my place and computer for another week, four days after this expires, so is there a way I can get this now (and email it to myself or something), and download it in a week? Or I have to forget about it?

      You add it to your Microsoft account so you only need to log into that and add it (maybe a windows device attached to it?)

          @unifex: Worked for me. You need a Microsoft account to add it to your device, and a Microsoft account can be created from different email providers (e.g. Gmail).

          @ddsingh: You mean it works on any device as long as you have a Microsoft account, regardless whether you're on a Windows machine or not? Someone in the comments below is saying you can't access it if you aren't on a Windows machine though.

          @RevCat: I have no idea what is going on. I am on an iPad too and the button to click on is grayed out. It’s saying “this app doesn’t work on your device”.

        Mindmanager isn't free but it's been around for a long time and proven.

        It's free for smart devices but haven't been regularly updated.

    Creating Mind Maps on a computer is slow, inconvenient and avoids most of the other benefits that come from doing them by hand.

    I don't have much experience with the Windows Store. Does it work like Android's Google Play - get a free title and even if you uninstall it and come back to it 6 months later when it's $15 again, you're still recognised as a purchaser so it's free forever?

    Assuming so but just checking.

    if you're not on a windows machine, you won't be able to access the store with the "purchase" button not greyed out.

    Thanks - got it and played with it. It's a fairly simple and limited app but I guess that makes it quick to learn. Biggest limitations: I can't figure out how to save it as a file and how to widen the shapes to fit text.

    If you are on Creators Update (Windows 10, 1703) installation will not work, install button will be greyed out.

    I ended up upgrading my Surface to Windows 10 Version 1803. Just FYI.
