I have one of these and it's a great charger. I paid a bit more from Banggood (China). It's an amazing deal for a local stock.

  • Doesnt support s9?

    • +3

S9/S9+ have the same charging capabilities as S8/S8+ so I assume it does support it

  • Does it comes with wall charger? Or is it BYO

    • Wall charger is BYO.

  • How does this compare with BW-FWC4?

    • I bought the FWC4 on the weekend, it costs the same although it comes in from China (via Banggood).

This is a sharp price for local stock of the FWC1.

      • What's the difference

        • Pretty sure FWC4 has a higher charging output which means devices which are supported should charger significantly quicker.

        • @kakarot123:

Yes my understanding is that the FWC4 has maximum output of 15W, although do any phones currently support and achieve it in the real world?. The FWC4 also supports 7.5-watt charging for iPhones running the newer versions of iOS.

It's a bit hard to get a clear take on it all, I just opted for the FCW4 as it's a newer model and seems to be a bit more "future-proofed" than the older FCW1, and the aesthetic changes appealed to me as well. All for the same price.

Who knows if there is any real-world difference in performance between the two though. This time last week I didn't know a thing about wireless charging. Some people might suggest that I still don't ;)

        • @Charlie Dont Surf:

Where did you get fwc4 from?

        • @Charlie Dont Surf:
Fair point. I saw that the mi mix 2s can do 10W somewhere so for me that would be better since it's double the output?

Got one of these, no complaints here. Works well with a cheapo $1 Micro-USB wireless charging receiver that poor people like me stick on their Galaxy S2 to embrace the future, thanks OP

  • Do these still work if you're using a magnetic car mount in between?

    • You would be very lucky if it did

    • Usually, the magnetic part is on the car mount, not on the phone as this would confuse the compass and many other sensors

Depends if the metal plate in the case is covering the charging coil in the phone or not. Works on my note 8 with the plate on the bottom of my case

  • I have a Nexus 5; do I also need to get any adaptors or anything to get everything I can out of this wireless charger? Or do I simply pop it on the thing?

Oh, and will it charge with the screen face down? I have a bunch of cards on the back of my phone which would definitely obscure the process…

    • I doubt it would charge face down, the charging coil on a Nexus 5 is on the back of the phone and the phone has a metal frame which would likely block the charging power getting there.

Any 5V1A charger will be fine to use for charging the Nexus 5, it doesn't support fast wireless charging.

  • Doesn't fast charge iPhone

Thanks, OP just picked one up to replace my now ageing TYLT VU Qi Wireless Phone Charging Pad, which has served me well over the past 3 years. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DG8NUC8/ref=oh_aui_deta…

  • This looks incredibly similar to the YouStoo ones:

    https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Charger-YOUSTOO-Charging-Qi-…

I picked up 3 of these when I was in the USA. I know Amazon don't ship here now (thanks bloody Hardly Normal) but it's a lot cheaper if you do have a way of getting it to AU. They're very good but no way of turning the light off (the Anker one I have has a little button to turn the light off) so it's not great for bedside tables if you like dark rooms for sleeping.

  • anymore stock?

  • Why don't they make a magnetic car wireless charger?

    • +1

check this out mate there's many more out there that's just an example.

      • wanting it to clip in vent, no gluing.. or telling me to but their case
Cygnett MagMount Qi is one with bad reviews
