  • Is it only for the first 6 mths, and then the prices go up by $10 bucks for the rest?

Would be great if you could also copy and paste the additional terms and conditions of the coupon, (e.g expiry)

    • Done, not sure when coupon expires.

      • +1

        Thanks!

Actually, I'm guessing it's $69.90/mth for the the rest, as there appears to be two stacked promos

        -$20 discount with this coupon
-$10 discount with this promoted image

So that means, $39.90 for the first 6 months, and $69.90 afterwards if you choose to continue?

        • Sounds like you're right :), lets hope they honor it.

        • It would be $39.90 for the first month, then $59.90 for months 2-6 and then $69.90 afterwards.. Unless I'm missing something.

        • @55:

Yeah, it's updated now. I'll set my own comment to Off topic as a rep has come to cleared things up.

        • I think this is correct too.

      • +1

Can you please check whether the price goes up by $10 or $20 after 6 months? There is a standard $10 off for first 6 months. I am guessing this coupon brings the discount to $20 off for the first 6 months, after which the plan will revert to its normal price ($59.90)?

  • +1

    Unlimited data?

  • Whats the difference between basic and XL?

    • typical night speed

      • Yea price refers to basic where as 50/20 and CIS refers to XL.

Price goes back to 70 after 6 months and not 40.

    • -1

Basic looks to be 12M speed
Xl looks to be the 50M speeds

  • +1

Im not reading that on the website. Looks like the slower speed is 49.90 P/M
    50/20 is 59.90 normal price.

    • Add the coupon at checkout.

      • Sorry, I meant when the 6 months are over.

        • +1

Ah yep that's what it seems :)

Nah I will stick with mungi atm

    • How do you find Mungi, by the way?

      • Refered by another nbn company that had bankrupted. Forgot the name lol one of cheapest nbn company

        • Haha I think urzu means ‘how are they as an ISP (good performance, stable connection etc).

        • @Porthos:
lol opppppss. Not bad but no torrent

      • I'm on Mungi, same situation as @ywaa1124, but my connection is terrible. Speed spikes up and down, drops out. Halves itself when another device is using, disconnects me randomly even though wifi is on. Can't even watch facebook/instagram videos without buffering even though speed test is 20-30. Had no issues with Buzz so I know my line is fine. Support has tried a few changes but didnt manage to fix.

  • Code works for their 100/40 speed as well!!(https://www.tangerinetelecom.com.au/OrderRetrievev2.aspx?Cat…)

  • Tempted to jump from my 'new' telecube plan.

    • Jump for your life! No customer service to speak off, speed omg… I joined coz a few member said they were good and didn’t bother doing research.. now I got my suspicions that those where paid actors!

      • You've used Tangerine? What were peak speeds like?

  • And it seems like I need to pay for modem??

    • For many ISP's that offer no contracts, it's normally BYO modem (Bring your own) otherwise they sell you a pre-configured modem.

You won't need a modem if you're using FTTP. You'll need a router for that, which usually is cheaper than a modem.

    • You can choose at the bottom of the page, BYO or purchase.

    Hi all,
I should clarify that the SPECIAL20 promo code offers an additional one off $20 discount on our NBN plans.
In addition, our plans are currently discounted for the first 6 months.
This means our Basic Speed (nbn12) plan is $49.90/mth for first 6 months, then $59.90/mth.
XL Speed Boost (nbn50) is $59.90/mth for first 6 months, then $69.90/mth.

All plans include unlimited data and no standard set up costs.
+ Save $50 on our upgraded AC1600 Wifi modem/router for a limited time, you can use the promo code to get the additional $20 off!

I am afraid the pricing in the headline posted by apptrack is slightly misleading.

Hope this is clear, happy to answer any questions…

    • Thanks, have updated.

      • Thanks!

    • when does the coupon code expire?

      • We've not been advised by marketing of any expiry date or length of time that it will be valid. Best bet is to use it as soon as possible.
We allow ability to select a Preferred Start Date - so you can make use of the promo code now and future date your start date if you wish.

    • @rich005, a few questions:

      • is Tangerine itself Adelaide-based?
      • how is the NBN trafic routed, is there a POP in Adelade?
      • how bad can it get during peak hours, what are the typical FAST.COM results during the 18pm-22pm time frame?
      • how long does it normally take to switch from another NBP ISP?

      Ta!

  • Title is misleading.

Its $39.90 for the first month only. So the $20 discount is for the first month and then it goes back to $59.90.
Got this information with their online chat rep.

QUOTE: I was able to confirm with my manager that the SPECIAL20 is good for a one-time use, so on your first month, you can get the $20 discount + $10 for the next 6 months

  • anybody can send me a referral code pls?

    • Doesn't seem to be any on the random list, can you PM me?

      • can you pm me the referral code pls?

  • +2

So if I am getting this straight:

    1st month = $39.90
    2nd to 6th month = $59.90
    7th month onwards = $69.90

So you essentially save only $20 compared to other providers out there. I.e. on Whistleout it showed many providers offer the $59 for the 1st 6 months deal

    • +1

Except there is no contract, sign up fees and unlimited data.

Most of the plans on Whistleout have quite big sign up fees if no contract is selected.

      • Yonks ago it was like $300 and i went with telstra instead

  • side question regarding landline telephone. - I was born last century and enjoy having a land line. i want to keep my landline number. this service is just NBN. how would I keep my number?

    • +1

You should be able to port the number over on the sign up form.

  • Oh man, so wanted this nbn thing but don't think my area can get it anywhere around 2050..would this deal be still available?

    • :c it might be NBN v2 by then, so you will have to wait to 2100.

  • So do you get the $20 discount if you only stay for 1 month?

  • Nothing for your existing customers?

    • How have you found them?

      • +1

Very solid overall, speed starts struggling at peak times in Wollongong but otherwise it's great. Their portal where you log in and view account details definitely needs some work though.

  • Anyone have experience about Flip Tv NBN. Currently offering 50/20mbps plan for $59 per month with unlimited data.

    https://www.fliptv.com.au/nbn/

  • Feels expensive. I’ll get it and cancel after 6months when the price goes up

  • Depending on how NBN is delivered to your property and your property's NBN readiness this will vary from just 48 hours to around 3 weeks.

  • +1

For clarity, Vocus is not part of TPG. They're part of the M2 group - Commander, Dodo, etc.

    … Unless something changed recently…..

  • My Mungi connection has been way below average since moving from Buzz, might give this one a go. Does the referral bonus stack with the $20 off first month?

    • does anyone have the referral code?

      • They said to let them know the name of the referrer, if you want I can PM you the name :)

  • lol Vocus Group and TPG are very much separate

  • Is there a local perth POP or is all data routed via eastern states?

    • There is a POP in Perth.

  • +1

Just an FYI - the promo code SPECIAL20 may not be valid much longer. Marketing have not confirmed an end date but it will not be indefinitely. If anyone is looking at this deal please grab it ASAP while you can. Thanks!

    • Can confirm - the promo has expired.
