e-Solar supplies only tier 1 solar panels and inverters from reputable manufacturers with proven record.

A Solar System is like a roof on your house… Once installed you're kind of stuck with it.

It takes 8 hours to install it properly by experienced professionals and much less for cheaper hurried job with roof leaks when the rains come.

Lots of very attractive offers on the papers today but considering the long term investment and the history of the industry a closer look is worth it.

According to ASIC statistics, more than 500 solar companies have closed down since 2011 leaving many clients stranded and the industry reputation in tatters.

e-Solar has been involved exclusively in Solar and Renewable Energy for over 30 years.

Full disclosure. Whilst it may be “German design inverter” it’s still a Chinese inverter.

I’m not sure how your website looks on a pc but on a mobile device the banner for the deal is about 1/5th size of the screen, it can’t be clicked on to zoom in and is unreadable.

    • Do you have any other recommendation for supplier/installer in Perth / WA with better inverter or better value for money? Genuine question as I am building and interested in getting one for myself.

      • +4

I guess this is not for us to address?

    • The brand is mentioned clearly and it's not an unknown entity in the market.

So a quick search would clarify that. Probably everybody knows that it's made in China but not that is owned and managed by SMA from Germany.

About the mobile Web page you are right… We are working on it

      • Hi there e-Solar.
I think you come across a little rude in your posts which makes me wary of dealing with your business.

However, can I ask what discount this particular special offer is from your normal price please?

        Thank you in advance.

        • Apologies if that is how it came across. Not intended but considering that we clearly state the brand I assumed that was sufficient full disclosure. The same was costing about $400 more

        • The reply was perfect! Short and to the point. I live in Bunbury and phoned these guys, unfortunately for them the cost including travel was too much for local competition. I am happy to go local anyway, but since they respond quickly and support i thought i would call them.

@XCelR8: thank you for the opportunity anyway

  • ($300- $400 Bills)

    How do you know this?

    So many variables.

    • +6

      Experience…

      • So you will pay the difference if customers don't get that low?

        • I understand your doubts about anything anybody says in this industry. That is why I would refer you to our clients reviews online.

  • -1

I just don't see the value in this without a battery. So if you're not using the electricity during the day, it just feeds back into the grid to earn a few cents and at night you just draw from the grid as usual?

    • +4

Well you might not see the value yet solar for Residential homes has never registered such high uptake. The truth is that your best savings will come from a well sized well used solar system. Batteries will take at least 10 years to pay for themselves

    • Yep.

But with a good inverter you can get generation from as early as 7am in the winter.

      • Is the price difference worth it you reckon.. I am in this same predicament now, housemates are about to put on a 6.6kw 24 panel Seraphim and a 5kw Solis inverter from Eurosolar for $3199 including a free WiFi monitoring device.

I know Fronius is the current best inverter in the business or so I am lead to believe and am wondering if the extra cost will be off set by the better performance and everything else.

No idea honestly at this point much about the differences in inverters so am asking around while I find more research.

    • +1

Batteries cost far too much and have extremely long pay off periods (10 years common). Panels will pay for themselves easily in 5 years and at least the panels will last longer than 10 years. The same can’t be said of batteries.

      • Just get a stack of enloops - ozbargain favourite

    • battery car will out very soon…and this is perfect for refuel the car during the day…

      • If you work permanent Night Shift maybe.

  • All inverters we sell do the same. Price difference come from the country of manufacture

  • I save $350-$400 per qtr with my 6kw panels on 5kw inverter (all chinese).

2 adults and 2 children. Largeish house. Noone at home during the day but have a pool.

  • Thank you….

  • How much to upgrade this system to a 5kW Fronius with usage and generation wifi monitoring?

    • $700….however the ABB is really a good inverter at par with Fronius…. Many solar farms have massive ABB inverters

      • That might have been the case a couple of years ago!

        • If you know better please share…. But ABB being the massive company they are don't market themselves as well as they should. Fronius on the contrary have made great inroads at the expenses of SMA or ABB

        • -2

          @e-Solar:

Heaps of installers bitching about ABB on Crap solar on facebook

        • +1

@live_1991: please send us the links so that we can read what they say.

        • -1

@e-Solar: stop pushing cheap just because of margins, Chinese is Chinese.

        • @asa79: ABB Inverters are not Chinese.. They are made in Italy

  • Not sure how rebates work, but can you still get this price if you want too replace a 8yr old 1kw system ?

    • Yes… You are thinking of when there were multipliers in place that Barnett scrapped. They are long gone so that price is applicable to all new and old installations

    • You won't get REC from government for second system so you pay full price

      • We have people replacing old 2 KW systems with brand new 6 KW and getting full rebate like for the one offered here

  • What’s the price diff for a 2 story house and 3 phase inverter? Thanks

    • 3 phase inverters are about $500 more than single phase. 2 storey we usually don't charge extra but some houses require a lot more wiring and time and for those we charge $200

  • Can share some comparison details to a similar 6.6kw 24 panel Seraphim and 5kw Solis inverter for single phase / single storey installation in Sydney NSW exact location is in 2780 postcode.

I know Fronius is the number one inverter right now I believe but I have no clue about panels and really the difference between a better inverter and "lower quality" inverter.

Countries can mean anything I just want hard facts and real numbers. I own a Chinese phone and it is a good one because I did my research and got other user community feedback so am doing the same now for solar panels and inverters and maybe batteries later down the line.

Main worry among others is the weather differences in my area. It can drop below zero very often in winter. Summer time it is very normal average high 20s some low 30s but the cold is the main thing. Big difference from 100km closer to the sea where temps stay above 5 degrees normally but yeah I am looking for the best information regarding solar panels and inverters and batteries atm everything is happily accepted.

The cheapest electricity is the power you don’t need.

Have you analysed your consumption and worked out where you can save?

      Efficient Refrigerator, Air Leaks, Insulation…

Once you know your consumption pattern you’ll have a better idea of what system would suit you.

  • I have had at least 5 spam phone calls from a mob calling themselves e solar in the past few months.

We are on the acma do not call register, but the callers seem maybe to be not in australia or do not speak good engish?

No idea if it is the same mob but it is very annoying to get spam calls from e solar whoever they are

    • +1

In fact we never done cold callings or sent people knocking on doors. Lots of scammers out there…. that is why we regularly advertise on the major newspapers and don't use lead generation companies. If you have scammers calling as Telstra or the major 4 banks there is nothing to be surprised anymore…

      Should we be flattered?

    • Was it may be Eurosolar?

      Similar kind of sounding name.

    • More likely it's a scam phone call. Scammers don't care if you are on ACMA. Some even threaten to burn your house down. https://www.northernstar.com.au/news/solar-scam-phone-caller…

  • Chill lol I got this inverter and it is fine.

  • As always, check the Whirlpool forum : https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum/143
There is an enormous quality difference between various inverters and panels.
I feel it is a little misleading to say 'German designed' but not 'Chinese manufactured'

    • if no brand name was provided I could understand… But brand name is clearly stated…and it's a well established brand especially because is owned by SMA Germany.

      • I have a PVedge pve2500 (2.2kw output) inverter and 16 roof panels north facing, not sure how big or old it is but I’m receiving 40c + 7c kWh buyback tariff. Im thinking of doubling quantity of panels and installing a bigger inverter. Would I still be eligible to continue receiving the same buyback Tarif im currently receiving?

Also my system is generating the following power every 63 days, if it’s a 3kwh System do these numbers look ok?
        May -Jul 100kwh
        Jan-Mar 226kwh
        Nov -jan 260kwh
        Sep-Nov 291kwh
        Cheers

  • Hi Sue,

Your system is not producing what it should. Usually a rule of thumb is system size (2.2 KW) x 5 in winter and 7 in summer. So in winter you should be producing about 10 units a day x 63 days is about 600 Kwh. However I am not conversant with your situation and you should ask clarifications to the people who supplied you the system
