    Surprisingly good battery life with this one. Has a 74wh battery and idles around 7w from the wall. Should be good for a whole day of uni/work as long as you don't stress it too much.

    Last time for an extra $100 it came with the i7 7700hq, all the other specs where the same. That brings the question is the i7 processor marginally better than the i5 or there is more then that?

    I got one last year. I find the fans on the gtx is loud when gpu is utilised and I have to put the volume up on my speakers. Also some of the keys touches the monitor when lid is closed and made slight wear marks on the monitor and frame. apart from that a good laptop.

          Noise is to be expected from any laptop when gaming.

          Yeah. Spending close to $1K and getting monitor damage is not on. I am not inclined to always place a rag on the keyboard every time i close the screen.

    The only thing stopping me from pulling the trigger is a lack of a hard drive. That small SSD wont fit many games on it for a gaming laptop.

      soft, silent, like my wired aluminium apple keyboard except plastickier.
      home/pageup/pagedown/end keys have been moved from original 105 layout to top of numpad.
      there is also an extra fn key next to left win key

      They are the same one. I believe if you order from Dell website directly you can also get further 12% cashback from shopback.com.au + $60 Dell store credit to purchase future Dell items, but you will still end up paying $1,055 which is more expensive than the ebay deal. (but the shipping should be a bit faster than the ebay one)
