I know it is not as good as the expired $1 recharge voucher deal, but you can't complain much when it comes to $1/1GB data, right?

Not sure if it is VIC only or nationwide. I bought 2 so it is not limited to 1 per customer.
I saw the yellow price tag at the front desk only, where actual mobile phones are sold, but none at the gift card/ sim card section.
The price tag indicates promotion lasts for two week.
1GB data valid for 28 days from activation. Not sure about the sim card expiry date.
Don't forget to use ewish gift card to save a further 5 cents :D

PS, bananas are soooo expensive recently, same price in Coles and Aldi :(

    Should be nationwide.
    Avoid self serve for the transaction as may fail during activation process and you will need to go to a normal checkout or front desk.
    Expiry is 12 months from activation.
    Take some kids in and let them hold a banana each on the way out.

      You might be able to use it as a "replacement sim" if you lost your sim fir whatever reason. I did it last year with a $2 sim, the process was fast. Not sure if the credit still applies if you get a sim kit.

        If you only want the data, the number doesn't matter. You can use 1 at a time & throw away the SIM when finished (or keep number for porting).

      I would say you activate online with ID. However the preloaded credit may have an expiry date.

          That's different. At a supermarket they don't ask for ID so it can't be activated there.

    Expiry is 12 months from activation / So we then register with code within 12 months this " activation " does not start when we bought sims. We still get 12 months to use correct ?

      It would mean the expiry of the preloaded credit. They can't activate without ID.

      Oh dear, I hope they are not going out of business what with the shenanigans of Amaysim Energy. I ported away because I got sick of their energy spam, they discontinued their 365 day data pack, and SMS settings would get disrupted if I put in another Optus or MVNO SIM. But I might grab one or three of these, handy for visitors.

      Can confirm this. Bought a couple. They can be put through self serve machines but there is a "gift card" loading phase.

        Also tried on self serve. Any more than 3 would require assistant override. Also required an assistant override at the end. My advice is just do it at a manned checkout to avoid the hassle.

          I only needed one override, as soon as it scanned the first of two kits, which I think is inevitable because it's a "gift card". The rest went automatically. Maybe a more capable machine than the one you encountered.
