Possibly. It's probably doing it really well but I like my toast to still have a little bit of softness to it. I tried all the settings and timings but still seems to dry it out straight away.

All toasters do is heat. How can one make bread less dry than another? The brand of bread makes the biggest difference to how it feels toasted.
I have the 4 slice of this version and it takes longer to brown so it ends up drying the inside of the bread unless i use thicker bread.
That's why I am confused.
When you say it's big, do you mean it has wide/long slots for larger loaves? It really doesn't seem it from the picture. Or is it just sit big on the countertop, while still having the same tiny slots as the standard cheapo toasters?
Usually when I bake bread, it ends up about 50% wider than a standard loaf (otherwise I find you get a poor crust-to-crumb ratio when baking a round loaf). I also like to slice it thicker than normal. Most toasters don't handle this - I usually get the double-length style with a wide slot, but really it's overkill and is huge on the benchtop.
But if this is bigger than a standard toaster, without being as huge as a double-length one, it could be a good buy.
It's quite tall. Almost as tall as a kettle. Good size, but bigger than I expected by about 25%.

yeah you don't need to watch whole video i just watched 5mins of first thing i clicked on being the grand tour show, you wont get the voucher instantly took me 24 hours to get email from amazon saying $10 credit had been applied to my account to do with prime video promo. did not show up anywhere in giftcard or voucher it was just applied to my cart during payment screen on purchase of toaster.
i just signed up to amazon prime on a new email account to see if i can get another $10 voucher on a new amazon account still another 24 hours of prime deals coming. clicked though the prime video promo and followed the steps, will see how long it takes for it to come through.

Bought one last time, this toaster is BIG. But it does a really good job. So evenly cooked, problem is that it tends to dry out the bread and I'm not sure how to fix this.
