[NSW] Long Red Chillies $6/kg (Save $16/kg) at Woolworths (Westfield Parramatta)

230

Found this when I was in store this afternoon, and had to post! The chillies at Woollies Parramatta are cheap and plentiful. Perfect for your chilli sauces, your stir frys, tacos or secretly putting in your partners food.

Unsure if this is available at other stores. Get on it!

People….when you cut these open. Keep the seeds aside and grow them.

No one should have to pay $16/Kilo for Chillis when they are so easy to grow.

    • More often than not fruit from supermarkets is some kind of hybrid with no suitable seeds, trying is always worth though. I had better results with seeds taken from dry chillies sold in asian groceries, thai chillies in particular

Nah, in Australia, fruit and veggies are pretty much the real deal. It's only the seedless varieties with sterile seeds.

Have successfully grown habaneros and jalapenos from supermarket chillies easy enough, worth a shot anyway

These would most likely be cayenne - they had several varieties a few months ago and I bought some and found that they were late season, slow ripening fruit that had no heat at all :(

    • woolworths chillis are always duds
