the other option you have is go to bunnings and have them beat it by 10%

  • Probably only click and collect left at certain stores.

  • thanks!

To be fair, most padlocks in this size are only keeping the honest people out.

    • To put it another way, these locks would not live up to a reasonable persons expectations of a padlock.

    • Also to be fair, it would appear the 140Q is a 4-pin with a spool. I'm not saying thats anything special, but I hope they can't be opened with a spike/rake.

  • BUMMER. None of the $5 motorcycle disc locks left. Looked to be available when I opened the link but showing sold out when I go to the cart :( was down from $40. Would have bought a few to pass out to mates given the amount of bike thefts lately.

  • Any positive reviews on the master bike lock?

  • Would be a beautiful time to get the $5 credit

  • Not that you're likely securing anything important with a $5 lock, but these are absolute rubbish. If you're looking at local hardware store locks, at least go with the Lockwoods (which are actually quite good for the price). These things are barely better than zip ties.

Where actually has lock stock still?
Edit: Warners Bay, NSW (near Newcastle) has stock of the weatherproof ones. But that's it.

This item is now sold out. Please remove it from your cart before proceeding

Edit, found stock for the $35 (Vinyl 3 pack). Thanks OP!
Just got a call from SCA store. Apparently they don't have it in stock..

As a hobbyist lockpicker, stay away from Masterlocks. Most of them have a terrible locking mechanism.
My wife, after a few minutes of instruction can now open them in under 10 seconds.

    • So what's good then , that can't be picked so easily?

      • +1

        Probably his wife's nose

Lockwoods are significantly better. They have security pins in almost all their locks, they have defenses for common attacks like shimming, and they build to much tighter tolerances. Masterlocks can be picked with anything small enough to fit in them.

Found stock of the round lock and 40mm brass lock in WA but I think they are the last ones. Thanks OP.

  • Got a three pack of weather proof padlocks and a few 5'combo cables in SEQ.
Beware the joker who resets combination locks in store.

  • Got an email from SCA, this was an order for "Masterlock Padlock - Brass, 40mm, 4 Pack":
Unfortunately we are unable to supply your order at the current time. This item(s) is unavailable Australia wide and we are unable to order anymore in.
We have issued a full refund. Once this is completed you will receive the money back within 1-5 business days, depending on your banking institution.

Thanks OP but it seems I missed out.

  • Seems that the deals are back again, plenty of discounted bike locks and padlocks $5.

  • any toolpro cross beams left?

  • the locks look like they are back to full price online.

  • I love how people are still scrabbling after these locks a month later. Do yourselves a favor, read some comments about them, there are enough here to tell you what the product is like.
