If they're anything like the T1, the treble will rape your ears til they bleed. Seriously unpleasant headphones, IMO.

Perhaps you need to turn the volume down a bit.

I have the T1 and they are amazing. I have no idea what you're talking about.

As someone who actually owns T1s rather than someone repeating fourth-hand internet anecdotes, that's a strong yeah nah from me.

Also, they have T90s on sale for 399

I auditioned them at the same time as my HD800's. The T1's were unbearably sharp.

  • Good price, I've had a set of T70s for a few years now. Very comfortable for long periods of time and very good quality sound.

The T70 set are 250 Ohm so require a pretty powerful source. This is part of the problem with reports of "missing bass". Although admittedly these are not for bassheads at the best of times, these headphones are designed to be accurate. So the bass is not loud but it is deep and responsive. I suspect it takes some time for the headphones to "break in" and/or you brain to get used to these, but I've been very happy with mine and find many other headphones vulgar and muddy in comparison.

  • Warning - requires an amplifier for most smartphone use.

Is that a fixed cord :|

    • Hate fixed cords.

      And proprietary cords too.

      Looking at you M50x.

  • Insane price, and so tempting. Damn I have too many headphones

I recently got the DT990 600 Ohm edition and I am quite enjoying the sound. Should I get the T70p for portable use?

    • +1

Personally I would by IEMs. Much more portable and should have better sound isolation.

    • I am using 770 pro 80 ohm, directly drive by iphone, perfect.

  • Is anyone else having problems with their eway payments system?

  • How would either of these compare to HD600's?

  • Great price op - love my T90s and just ordered the T70p for work listening.

    Much appreciated OP.

Ended up getting another T51P and finally an affordable T1 bundle.
